What sets Larian apart from other studios to me is that, if any other studio saw this mechanic whilst making a sequel, it'd be dumpstered as a mechanic. They'd remove it immediately despite seemingly intentionally designing it that way. Even with the new BG3, players have created nerdpoles of barrels, crates, chests and anything they can climb, to teleport into endgame areas really early on, they showed the devs, the devs chuckled in amazement and it's still in the game, they didn't bother removing it since if you want to go through all that effort, you shouldn't be punished with a constrictive experience.

I mean even this video is pretty old lol, but yeah actually! They were a great guide for the run. Never tried the later developments using the lava chest though.
