@krzysztof duszkiewicz You will probably be deeply disappointed, but this is not a Polish home-made train but actually an Italian Pendolino. Pendolino cars also run in many European countries, from the UK and Italy to Switzerland and Finland. So perhaps half of Europe is 'romantically archaic'. The biggest problem with Pendolino was tilting cars, but the ones running in Poland don't have that functionality. On the other hand, PESA trains (PESA is a Polish producer of rolling stock) ordered later on have proved to be extremely unreliable, both those running in Poland and those ordered by other countries. Unfortunately PESA trains turned out to be the most faulty item of equipment on Polish railways (official data on this are widely available). In addition, trains were delivered with enormous delays, so that the value of the penalty for late delivery often exceeded its value. In Germany, PESA trains were simply described as scrap, due to their electronics constantly breaking down. Also, it is really hard call PESA trains a bullet trains as the fastest of them (PESA ELF in the premium option) can reach a maximum of 190 km/h. Moreover, it is not technically possible to replace such a large proportion of the rolling stock as you write within 2 years. The tender process takes a long time, and in addition to building and delivering the trains, it is often necessary to build a whole technical base for their maintenance.
@nadajniczek2 жыл бұрын
It's not high speed. It goes 160km/h but it's prepared to be high speed in the future (you know, we have to develop more ;)) ... still it's more cheep than a car and more convenient than a plane... but the inner country the ryanair flights can be cheap AF if you don't have some big luggage and you don't stay away from the airport!

Raffles Europejski is located within a walking distance from Indigo Hotel in a 'must see' part of Warsaw, just turn right into Nowy Świat and go straight towards the Old Town, you will see it to your left after 10 to 15 minutes, depending on how fast you will walk (opposite Raffles Europejski is another hotel named Hotel Bristol with an elegant café inside, also worth checking out). Enjoy your stay in Warsaw. :-)

We have high-speed trains (Pendolino), however we have only one high-speed railway line, and it's not fully operational. That's because railway has a very bad opinion between Poles. And Pendolino was bought not to travel super fast (because of lack of infrastrukture), but to travel comfortably. In fact 10 years ago Pendolino was a new quality in our railway system. Today every nation railstock producer has the comfortable cars and trains in it's offer. Since 2023 there is planned a big railway investment program to modernize the tracks. I again from Australia guys! Loving living vicariously through your videos as per usual!😉 I too plan to use lots of trains and buses on my travels around Poland. Quick question re your luggage on trains. Did you feel secure in leaving your bag when you went off to explore the train carriages? Did you lock/attach your luggage to something so it was secure? I’m a solo traveller, so always wonder about whether it’s safe to leave your larger bags when you, say, go to the bathroom or want to wander around to stretch your legs or take some photos on the trains. Looking forward to your videos on old town Warsaw! Safe exploring guys!! Cheers from Marg

In my experience (I love using trains in Poland and Europe in general), unless you travel with a 15k euro worth of devices and want to be sure "just in case", you are good to leave them for a few minutes. You can also ask a train neighbour to have an eye on your stuff, that involves some trust in civic society, but in general, this is an aspect in which Poland really has caught on, so I would not worry. Btw, once the country started to really get quite wealthy since around 2000, the official statistics saw a massive drop in theft. The stats also show that it's generally very safe. It appears that peace, prosperity and reasonable governance are really a good idea and can shape the society well :) I'd be interested what the guys say!

You're obviously not in Poland anymore, but you should have tried other 0.0% beers here. We have really good ones coming from regional or craft breweries. You would be astonished how good a non-alcoholic beer can be. In case you come back some time, write down to look for Miłosław or Kormoran non-alcoholic beers. Also for sure many other from craft breweries, that will be available when you come back. Non-alcoholic beers are quite popular in Poland, there's plenty to choose from and plenty to avoid unfortunately too. You just got the one you should avoid, although Łomża Pils from the same brewery is quite a good (alcoholic) lager.

This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
