I’ve seen this done at weddings, but never for graduations. His words, “I saved that seat for your mom. I made sure that she was there, man.” This brought up the tears. I have 2 boys and as a parent, I understand the bond between mothers and sons. His mom brought up a wonderful young man who will go through the rest of his career honoring her and always saving her a seat at his most important events. This was a college graduation too, not just high school.

My mom passed away a week before I was supposed to graduate.. No child should ever have to experience that kind of unimaginable excruciating pain. He is very fortunate and blessed to have a father that cares and loves him as much as he does ❤️ Having my father be a good dad/man that this man is something I always wished to have when especially when grieving😔

Same! I lost my mom at 23. But my sister and brother were only 11 and 9 (they went to live with their dad who I wasn’t close with). It hurts that she wasn’t here when my son was born, when my sister graduated college, or my brother came home from Iraq. She was gone too soon. And it was her decision. 😢😢😢

Oh this got me. When my kids were little all I told myself was “I hope I can live long enough to see them all graduate high school”……now that my baby graduates Hs next year, I’ve now moved on to “if I can just be around long enough to see each of them get married….” My heart goes out to ALL who lost a parent at a young age. Your mom's spirit and your sister's spirit was there, at your graduation! Spirits are allowed to come to Earth for visiting when their family members have special events in their lives: graduations, wedding, childbirth, etc.If you pay attention, you can feel them.

I agree. My youngest sister was dying of cancer. But thanks to Jehovah God, she got to see her first born get his diploma. And July the 4 of that year she died. She also left behind two other boys. One was 12, and the other one was 9. My sister would be proud of them they all graduated from high school. Bless this young man for doing a great job with his son. May Jehovah God gave him strength to continue being a great parent.

I am 48 yrs old, also I am a combat veteran. I seen and done a lot of things, but I wasnt ready to loosemy mother. I lost my mother last September. Today June 13 is my mother birthday. I can honestly say that loosing one of your parents is really hard. I can feel this young man pain. He does have a great father to help him out.
