I'm Ghanaian, I love your channel and think it's one of the best on KZbin. The reason we use the waakye leaves is not all about giving it a red colour but to add more nutrition from the millet stems to the waakye. The millet stem aka waakye leaves, contains vitamins, K, A, and C.

im nigerian when i make the sauce ill throw in some crayfish. i think some ghanians use baking soda to darken the rice. Also this is a great vegan recipe without the fish, i can't wait to try it.

Hi Dada, some Gambians use smoke fish "kobo bu Laka" in the sauce and some smoke catfish "Kong in the rice and beans what do you think of this? Am just learning and wants to know the typical way of doing "Neneh ress". Thanks. Thumbs up to you! You are really doing a great job!👍👏👏
@DadasFoodCraveKitchen
@DadasFoodCraveKitchen 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can absolutely add kobo bu laka in the gravy sauce, but am not sure about the kong in the rice. I've never seen my grandmother add kong in the rice🍚 it just use to be plain white fish. You know cooking is a form of art so, people tend to make their dish their own way. But nebbeh ress en palmilebthis it how it's done in the aku/creo house. I hope I've answered your questions. Let me know if you Have any more questions thanks for watching
