I love when you feature the craftsmen and women. So many people in Italy still make things. The tailors, dressmakers, gardeners, bakers, cheese makers, shepherds. Also there is such a joy in the simple things of life. Having meals with friends and family is always so joyful looking. We have lost much of that in the US. I feel sad for us.

totally agree. i'm a daughter of immigrants.. no longer here. who were artisans and immigrants to the US. Italy is my heart. Every time I visited i felt so different, peaceful. Alive. I'm sad for us too. Born and raised in the US. and it is NOT the same. Not the same also with the old school generation gone. :(

Carlo your father is a smart man, l remember living beside an Italian family and my mother always said look at their garden everything is so huge .l remember seeing the grandfather out in his garden every day doing something, The grandmother use to make pickles , tomato sauce, jams . we were a family of 6 and a knock on our door with everything they did my mother was so appreciated she had great neighbours like them , so she had all of us do things for them to thank them for the food. Enjoyed this video very much. It was like watching a show called "A Day in the Life of Nicki and Carlos". It started early in the morning, progressed to afternoon lunch by boat, and ended in the evening by returning home. The piece de resistance, was seeing Carlos wrapped in a bath towel mopping the bathroom floor. A big teddy bear for sure. PS. - your new wrap around frock looked good on you. Till next Sunday.

Loved the shirt tailor shop :) also the look around the boat. One of the reasons I love your channel is the look behind the scenes - the shops and how things are made, the hotels and villas, the boats, the old buildings/sites, and the talks to people who own and operate the small businesses; I'm a bit of a gardening foodie too, love all the food shots and looks around the gardens, talking to Carlo's father about his tomatoes, that was interesting :) So much more interesting than just seeing the outsides/facades of everything as you get in the more touristy videos. Lime trees here are much more common than lemon. Costa Ricans call limes, lemons which is very strange to me! I prefer yellow lemons to green limes!

Could you do a video with Elisabeth about her business? Have her describe her typical day at work, the boats, where they're kept & serviced, trips offered, a rough estimate on prices, the history of her company and maybe some stories about the best & worst trips ever and any celebrity customers in the past. Does she hope to expand or do anything different, are employees a challenge, any advice for working moms and newcomers? I think she said once she's not certified to drive her own boats, so is that something she would try to do? We see her a lot on her personal side with the kids, but her business side would be very interesting to see too!

Wow this video was special to me, firstly my late mumma Pasqua favorites anti Pasto was cantelope and procutto we had it before any special meal, birthdays Christmas and Easter❤️ secondly Carlos papa sounds exactly like my nonno Giussepe and my papa Giovanni I just love the Neapolitan accent!!
