The best way we would seed birds-foot tree foil is bale it in late summer when it is a seed pod. The key to it was to cut it right before the seed pods were hard and dry because they would break open if they were to dry. Then store the hay until February and feed it to the cows. The seed will go right through the cows and self seed. We did that on several pastures. If I remember it took 2 years before seeing it. But it is a pretty yellow flower and the bees love it too. And we sure could help the honey bees

We used to have some Brown Swiss. Very friendly cows. Great video. All the best 🇬🇧.
A great pasture is birds-foot tree foil. It does well in heavy soil and has a good protein. When my dad was milking the cows did really good on it. Increase of milk production. Latter when we had beef cows it really helped the calves grow

@@GierokFarms Y'all have some good looking cattle. I'm sure you can pick out a few to work with in your spare time (🤣), and take them to some Dairy Shows! In all seriousness, if you get the opportunity to help out some interested young people, or when the next generation comes along, showing cattle is a great thing to get involved in, especially for the young people. It's a lot of extra work and time, but the kids you have, or the ones you help won't ever forget it.

Nice farm tour! I really enjoyed that! Your landscapes are so beautiful there. Would love to see it some day. Do the cows ever go into the trees at all? Or isn't there anything in there to make them want to go in there? Your little valley project is looking really good. You guys are really good stewards of your land. That is nice to see. My dad was like that. He did anything he could for land conservation. He won several awards over the years for his conservation practices. God bless ya Dad!
