How did it happen ?

You know what's so strange. In The Pilot Episode Miss Ellie acts like she's meeting Pam for the first time but several years later when they did the Dallas Movie Pam along with Cliff and their Aunt Maggie (Digger's Sister) go To The Ewing BBQ. When Miss Ellie saw Pam it reminded her of a past she didn't want to remember on how she really kept the Southfork going.

She did meet Pam as a child at a Ewing barbeque and she's always known about her ..but this was the first time meeting her as an adult and in this scene she is simply shocked that Bobby married her that's all

It would have been worse if Miss Ellie had said "Boy do you realize that she's the Sister of The Man who is bad mouthing us on TV, he's leading a Senate Investigation against us."

@@rolltide9547 Right On! He acknowledged this on his Deathbed when he acknowledged that "He" killed Hutch McKinney and not Jock. As you remember Rebecca was going to leave Digger and go away with Hutch. When Rebecca admitted that Hutch was The Daddy he hit Rebecca and shot Hutch. The Actor who played him also played a Slave Catcher in Roots.
