The thing about this arc, its semi canon. You could imagine it as a plan of Mashima's that didn't get cleared by his editor. But the anime could completely run with it. Especially a few facts that pop up later. Also, its funny you mentioned those statues as being creepy. Because they're modeled after a creepy character from Mashima's earlier series Rave Master. His name was Griff and funny enough in the english dub of the anime he's voiced by Tom Kenny. You know, SpongeBob.

In fairytail you’ll find that you can throw a rock and you’ll hit a Lucy Look-a-like for a variety of reasons. When they made Lucy, they kept the mold

I don't know what your schedule is like, Zam, but I'm a big fan of yours and I've binged your reactions to Fairy Tail and Tangled over the last few weeks, and I was thinking, if you liked that series, you should give The Lion Guard a chance, it It has the same structure and quality as Tangled The series, it starts off a little silly until it gets REALLY good, and it also has 3 seasons, that's the recommendation! Also, i hope you make the next 2 episodes together, i am anxious to see your reaction to them, especially 139

This arc is definitely canon, characters appearing as an anime only doesn't mean anything. Kinana a character that was only anime only until the middle of GMG arc where Hiro Mashima finally decided to add her into the manga as well, her manga debut was chapter 285 but her anime debut was episode 97 which is chapter 200 of the manga, so characters being anime only can most definitely be added into the manga and all that.

It's honestly crazy to think that Lucy ended up being the harem protagonist of Fairy Tail. I thought it would be maybe Laxus, or Erza, but Lucy just has unstoppable rizz, I guess.

Those statues are actually of a character from Hiro Mashima’s (creator of fairy tail) previous manga Rave Master. His name is Griffin.

Natsu and Happy. Wendy and Carla. 10:15 Samuel states he's been with the Legion Platoon since he was hatched. And Gajeel never had an Exceed partner until the Edolas arc. I'm not sure if it was ever addressed, but it's likely Gajeel and Samuel (maybe named something fitting for Gajeel) were meant to be paired together, but they never met until now.
