I have a head-cannon that this video displaces perfectly. Back when Ranboo still lived in the End, someone close to him taught him how to dance. And when he forgot everything and ended up at the smp, dancing was one of the only things he remembers because its all muscle memory. Since he doesn't know why or how he learned to dance, it fills him with a sort of bittersweet feeling, hence the smile. ( 0:23 ) I also have another head-cannon that Techno knows that Ranboo dances and they often dance together. Techno helped Ranboo learn new moves and helped him perfect his old ones.

Head cannon: Ranboo is a really good dancer but is too shy to dance in front of others, when he realized Tubbo was watching him instead of getting shy and flustered about it he invited Tubbo to join him and they danced together because thats how important Tubbo is to Ranboo, so much he'd rather inclue him in something than hide it, even if no one else knows.

Aight, the fanfiction brain is running- Ranboo has always been somewhat graceful. He moved like silk when he wasn't thinking too much about how he was moving; it almost was like he was teleporting, how he'd move so smoothly from one place to another. Hanging out with others taught him to slouch, to move carefully, to seem more approachable. But sometimes, when he's alone, and he closes his eyes, he can almost hear a song. He couldn't recreate it if he tried, and oh has he tried, those times in the obsidian panic room. But in those private moments, he lets the long forgotten song move him, and he dances. When Techno, ever silent in his movements from his years of hunting, saw him dancing, he snorted to himself and left him be. They all destressed somehow. When Philza, flying overhead, saw him, he chuckled and went on his way. He's seen the half-Enderman do stranger things; this was one of the more benign things. But Tubbo? When Tubbo saw him dance, he stayed, and he watched. Then he joined in. It was messy, to be sure, and brutally short, due to Ranboo becoming flustered from being witnessed. But eventually, they finally did dance together. And it was a moment of bliss for the two of them.

I’m coming back to this after so long, and im just putting it out there that this was what introduced me to the dsmp. I never watched Minecraft, i had no idea who these people were, but one afternoon, i took a chance and clicked on this animatic (i didn’t even know what an ‘animatic’ was either). Then dsmp started coming to my fyp and i found a great community that still affects my life to this day. Because of this video, i found an entire..something. I dont know. But most of my personality is based off of things at least a tiny bit related to dsmp, and i wouldn’t have even found it if not for this animation. I would be a totally different person if i never took a chance and clicked on this video.

Coming from someone who has danced there whole life, dancing is not really something that can be taught or learned. Simple dancing, like this, mostly comes from just moving by how you feel the music. I would suggest stretching, just basic stuff, then just putting on some music and dancing how you feel is right. Gracefulness will come with time and practice, and certain skills you may need a little coaching on, but doing simple things like moving around and twirling don't require much. I hoped this helped a little! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I'm not a professional, but I have been dancing for about 8 years. I have done both ballet and hip-hop, and my style is kind of a mix of the two. (Dancing is also a great form of therapy and exercise!)

i just love how smooth it is and how the eyes just tell you what his emotion is such as smiling ect. I really love this and i really want to animate but since i hate doing the same design over and over it makes me bored and its amazing what people can do with animating, anyways, have a great day/afternoon/night!

I like to think that Ranboo forgets the choreography often and just wings it on stage sometimes. So it always adds a little spice and freedom to his dance

OMG I IMAGINE THIS Ranboo learnt to dance from his parents as a kid, as it was in his culture. He was always a talented dancer, learning quickly and well. He forgot it after the events of the dsmp, and lost all recollection that he even could dance. At least until music plays. The music plays and his body just moves on it's own, muscle memory. He goes with it and he's getting blurry flashes to his mom and dad, or moms, and his memory of lesrning to dance is very hazy, thats the little surprised fsce he did, he's recollecting his mom's faces and memories. Or, alternatively, enderwalk boo dances because it's part of his memory of dabcing with his mom, and tubbo sees him while dancing in enderwalk

Oh.. my god.. I really couldn't stop rewatching this. Despite being just a storyboard/sketch, the movements are stunning and it fits the music as well! Nearly shed a tear while watching this, it's so beautiful ❤️ I also can't stop replaying the part at 0:35 and 0:40 as it's probably the most fully animated looking part in the whole video, overall I really love this animation!

im so good at wriring. observe: As he enters the room, he recognizes. This was the place where he did his first dance. He could almost still hear the faint violin. As he climbs up the stage he’s almost certain they can feel it. The first beautiful high-pitched note brings back memories from when he was just a child. Powered by nostalgia, they start by moving his arm up like silk, and then drawing back in front of their torso. He brings their arm above his head, and they seem to push up as he slightly splays his legs, then straightening them back into a standing position again. He blinks, almost shocked that they still remember the choreography of the dance from so many years ago. His eyes scrunch up as they remember how the crowd roared like a storm when he was performing first. They refocus, and go into a half spin and come back again, tail swishing like a willow branch on a hot summer day. The music seems to flow with him as they dance, elevating the love and joy in the air. They side-step to the other side of the stage gracefully, on his toes. A young boy carrying set pieces passes by the curtains as he hears the faint tapping of gentle feet on linoleum floors. He stops to peek through the curtain to see the strange black and white person dancing like alliums on a windy morning. The person dancing spins, slightly leaning backwards with his eyes closed. They pick up his leg, and their tail seems to flow with it as he gracefully rotates around. It looks to curl around their legs as he brings one of them down. He widens his stance, still being light on his toes, and carefully walks closer to the front, eyes still shut and lost in the music. As they bring his arm up, they swing it to go behind his head. With this motion, they lean back, momentarily opening his eyes and smiling with pure joy. He regains his center of balance and slowly swings themself up again. He raises their arms above his head and brings them back down. They do a small step spin, and the stagehand emerges from the shadow of the curtain. As the dual-colored fellow gracefully steps in a circle, his tail wraps around his legs, following his movements like a long, skinny feather. Carefully, he starts spinning on one foot, their knee bent and one leg half folded over the other. His tail trails behind, while the music swells and fills their heart with joy. He brings one arm to hover over their waist, with the other arched over his head, brushing their horns. His arms open wider as they drop the spin and open his eyes to see the stagehand watching him. He decides to continue dancing, all care lost to the wind. From their standing position, he spins again, and then brings their leg over, in a beautiful and graceful kick, which passes his face as they move it in a circle shape. He throws his arm up behind them to keep his balance. They land, bending his legs, and throw his arms out wide, like inviting a hug. Immediately after, he goes into another spin, however for this one, they kick his leg out straight behind them, and his tail hovers as it trails slower than their leg. He holds their arms out, one above his head, and one above their outstretched leg. Going back into a standing position, he turns around and looks at the shy stagehand, looking slightly shocked at their awed countenance. “Hey Tubbo!” “Hey boss-man. Didn’t know you knew how to dance.” “Neither did I.”
