@@nikaoharbour6962 The anti-monitor's crisis on infinite earths, Hal Jordan's Emerald Twilight, Super Boy Prime's Infinite Crisis, Darkseid's Final crisis, and Barbatos's Dark Knights Metal are all classified as major "Crisis" event that directly resulted in Perpetuas release from the source wall. Final Crisis is where the reader is introduced to "True form Darkseid". Here we're pretty much told that Darkseid is an abstract being that exists outside of time and space. That the other iterations of Darkseid we've seen are Avatars that his higher form created to interact with our lower realm of existance. The inconsistent power is because some Avatars are weaker than others. But one fact that we do know is that the "death" of Darkseid while in the god sphere resulted in the total distruction of the multiverse as he fell. I believe this right here shows the difference in scale between Galactus and Darkseid. 100,000 light years of destruction vs a multiverse. The Avatar that fought the Anti-monitor was probably the closest avatar we've seen in regards to true form Darkseids full power. Authors usually don't clarify this point to the reader for any number of reasons. That being said the Anti-monitor only won because he combined death with the speed force and slaved it to kill Darkseid who was promptly resurrected; because Darkseid is.

The anti-monitor's a multiverse level threat just like darkseid is. The cross over heavily downplay the new gods possibility due to irl grudges and it isn't even canon. From what we've seen from both characters darkseid is either at or above galactus, and im leaning towards true form darkseid being above. Seeing how there's 1 of him and theres a galactus in each reality. And as far as I'm aware he's never gathered himself like eternity has.

End of the day, darkseid usually goes up against teams of super heroes and often times one member of the team can hold him off or fight to a stand still. On the other hand galactus is so far beyond fighting heroes, singular or in teams he rarely if ever is seen fighting characters any less than Odin or thanos, and when he does they usually don't last long in a battle. Galactus all day.

The great and powerful Darkseid has also shown he has the power to push the buttons of Superman to cut lose and knock him on his powerful Darkseid ass. That takes real power to get Superman that mad. Plus other super hero's have held their own with Darkseid. The last thing someone of Thanos power level like Darkseid wants to do is facing Galactus after he had his cosmic big mac. When it comes to Galactus you are looking at Odin and Zeus power level maybe more. This is a one sided match up that would last no more than two minutes.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR DARKSEID VS. GALACTUS: The Hunger:: Certain writers have severely undersold big D’s omega effect in the past (such is the case when Jergens wrote Doomsday tanking them in “Hunter Prey”(which was retconned as an avatar of Darkseid after how bad he was manhandled in that issue), but John Byrne always had respect for Darkseid. So much so that he put his power level several times the amount of Thanos(who I think is in the same ball part as ‘Seid). John Byrne also was writing ‘New Gods’ at the time, or just after “The Hunger” crossover. John even said if Darkseid when all out with the Omega Effect, he would obliterate Superman, but fortunately Clark is still factored into his plans, so he never tried to kill him. So, Byrne has clear respect for the power of Darkseid, but also had written Galactus’ character for Marvel too. He had a good understanding of both of their power sets (he never did Thanos, as he never wrote the character and didn’t particularly care for him as a Darkseid “knock off)” but I digress. In the story Galactus is running on empty for the sustenance he needs to be tip top cosmic pimp daddy. A huge war of Apokolips and Galactus + the Silver Surfer ensues and after a lot of failed attempts and build up Darkseid gets involved by taking down the Surfer with an eye blast and then attempting to end Galactus with the Omega Effect which, other than a cool looking picture, had no affect on big G, who casually blasted Darkseid away like an annoying gnat, though he gave Darkseid credit for his power and showed some respect. While Darkseid tanked Galactus’ blast, he was a bit worse for wear. Big G stood without a scratch and left because it wasn’t worth the effort and he was somewhat impressed that Darkseid would gladly sacrifice his whole word if it meant stopping Galactus. All in all, it was a decent cross-over and I think accurately portrayed the characters disparity between their abilities. It’s actually significant. Darkseid isn’t a match for Galactus.

Darkseid’s anger alone consumed a universe and a bomb set to destroy reality itself didn’t affect him in any way. He can easily move past and isn’t limited by dimensional boundaries, almost destroyed the multiverse with just a fall threatening existence itself. One punch from his fight with his brother destroyed a planet with ease. He himself can manipulate matter, energy, and can also manipulate his own size at will meaning he can be the size of a celestial if he truly wanted. He has enough power to stalemate Galactus in the least.

He himself is the concept of evil and needs to project clones of himself onto the lower dimensional universe, not having near as much power as his true form, which is why he can be sometimes beat by an opponent powerful enough, he’s even explained his true form to Vykin the Black in an old New Gods comic. The fluctuations in power are because some clones are weaker than others. Either way, he could fight Galactus or Eternity on a higher dimensional level, and as of late, he has enough power to do so in avatar form.

He is the living energy embodiment of a multiversal intelligence. So in the end it is impossible to say what their true forms would do against each other because we have no comparisons, but when comparing their avatars Galactus wins unless he's so low on energy he's near death.
