Except one guy here is gonna try. Superman. The Man of Steel. The Last Son of Krypton. The ultimate hero - you know he’s gonna try and stop Kratos’ deicidal rampage, or die trying.
And so, who’s coming out on top here? Well today, thats what we’re gonna find out! We’re gonna analyze their strengths and weaknesses, their powers and abilities, their weapons and their skill, all of it, to find out once and for all, who wins in the Battle Arena. Lets go!

One main thing not taken into consideration here is kratos weapons are mostly magical which superman is weak against...and also he took the powers of most of the gods he killed including Hermes, Hercules, Zeus, Hades (who could pull out ur soul)... kratos has his weapon too... He could even slow down time... So I don't really see the advantage that superman has here... That's no even putting kryptonite into the equation..

Kratos has no kryptonite and you clearly need to read more superman. If krstos uses the wrong type of elemental magic he's screwed. Hellfire energy amps superman up and so will the fire which superman has absorbed from eteigan which is a magical Demon that manipulates hellfire magic from the hottest pits of hell. Anything that has light in it can also be absorbed to amo superman more. Magical energy beams will also amp superman as his physiology is known to absorb that as well. This was proven in world's finest #220 and other modern interpretations. Superman can also get amped by Apollo magical god sun energy. Superman is also able to absorb the highest level of cosmic energy to ever exist. Please research superman correctly otherwise ofcourse you'll be blinded and think kratos is unstoppable. I haven't even mentioned that superman still has options to sundip which amplify all stats astronomically, there's also quasars and pulsars he can dip into which produce way more. Superman has negated time manipulation with pure super speed so that won't be working either. Care to try again?

Comic book Superman is just on another level of power, the feats he has performed throughout his entire history make seriously one of the most powerful characters in existence, there are literally a handful that would have the ability to contend with him from both the Marvel and DC universe and it would be more from the aspect reality warping abilities and so on, because when it comes to strenght, speed, durability and even his other abilities like the laser eye beams, freeze breath etc... there are basically none that can contend on that level, you would have to put him up against someone like Amazo or Franklin Richards if you were looking for a character that was most likely to take him down, other than them there are very few others.

Kratos does have the power of hope, so he basically can’t die. Superman is insanely powerful, and there’s no denying that, but i feel like Kratos has some abilities and strengths thaf make him unbeatable. He was able to keep up with the sisters of fate, and they are fast enough to keep track of everyone’s fate at once, so Kratos has some immense speed. If it was live action Superman vs Kratos, Kratos wins. If GOW 3 Kratos could grapple on to superman and steal his soul, Kratos would win. Comic superman is immensely powerful tho.

u failed to mention superman's vulnerability to magic and seeing as kratos has a very strong frost axe capable of freezing lightning and the blades of chaos that are blessed by a god not to mention the blade of Olympus that is also magic. kratos can also react to super high speeds and has countered hiemdall, who can read minds by moving so fast he overloaded his senses

Superman's vulnerability to magic is relative to his mundane durability and is very nuanced. In very few cases magic is an automatic win like when he-man killed an evil superman with his sword . In most cases magic weapons or magic itself is more damaging to Superman but he still can tank or at least soak lots of magic damage but it still hurts Superman far more than a mundane attack. Black Adam blasted Superman with magic and Superman felt it knocking him out of the fight momentarily after Superman took several magical blast from black Adam. Having said that Superman quickly recovered from the magical attacks and was able to continue to fight black Adam eventually besting Black Adam.

I don't think it matters much as people think. People confuse a vulnerability or Achilles heal, with a weakness or a de-power-er. Kryptonite, well, is a Kryptonite. It literally weakens him. It causes his cells to atrophy. disrupting his ability to metabolize his stores of solar energy and causing accelerated cell decay. IT literally weakens him and then kills him Red Solar energy is a de-power-er. All it does is disrupt his ability to metabolize solar energy as well as nullify what he has readily stored in him. Magic however has nothing to do with his anatomy, but rather with how magic breaks the rules of science. Magic in DC is like a shortcut. Superman is an alien, and his anatomy makes him, not bend or break, but manipulate the world around him, in a scientific way to achieve his powers. Magic breaks science so His powers because it is steeped in science, won't grant him protection. BUT he is still Superman, and magic does not weaken or strip him of his powers him. (They got it wrong in the Mortal Kombat vs Justice league game). So Superman can be "harmed" with magically summoned, fire, lightning or magically imbued weapons. But if it cuts him, He is still superman and his super healing will come in. The way this works is not specific to Superman. any Superhero based on science should work that way. Luke cage, Hulk, and Martian Manhunter, none of them have natural in-vulnerability to magic. But because Superman is top G we focus on him the most. But there are caveats. The magic used is important. say we have a magic rose with thorns. a normal rose won't cut Clark. but if a witch cast a spell on it that anybody who smelled the rose would die. what then? would the thorns also cut him? would the witch have to create a spell that also stated the thorn can prick anyone no matter their biology? Well basically... yeah. Just because something has magic in it, doesn't mean it acts like an automatic trump card. The magic has to be specifically built to act a certain way. This is why Superman can take punches from Darkseid. a being who is both equally, magic, cosmic, and science-based. or from Wonder Woman, or even Dr Fate at times. Al magic does, is make Sjueprman say "ow" much sooner in a fight than usual. So Krato's weapons, won't be much help. especially if he can't land them on his body often enough. If you don't think so, think about the Achilles heel. only his feet weren't dipped in that magic well thing. so his heel was the only place he had no protection. He was shot with an arrow in his heel. but it was being bled out that kill him. If Achilles had super healing. he would have finally bled, but not for long., and survived.

Kratos wiped out the Greek pantheon who were keeping the entire multiverses in balanced, he has the boots of Hermes which Hermes without the boots is said to be as fast as the speed of light and with the boots he is much faster than the speed of light so Kratos should be much faster than the speed of light not to mention he was keeping up with Hermes with the boots on , his rage :.if you've ever played any GOW games you would know that when Kratos gets his rage or gets angered shit goes down. In the canon lore, it has been stated that he carries souls of dead people to the Underworld and carries dreams to the people sleeping at night simultaneously. Plus, he was also able to go around the World in a finite time. Since the World in GOW is infinite in size (as it contains the endless Underworld, the Earth which completely covers it and the infinite sky), Hermes would be infinite in speed. Kratos outpaced and killed him, acquiring his boots. Now he has his speed. Kratos is immortal. He killed the Primordial concept of death, Primordial Thanatos (who created his own dimension, the domain of Death and survived after fighting in the Primordial war, which predated space-time). It was stated by Zeus himself that Kratos has become “Death…. the destroyer of worlds” when he beat Thanatos. He is cursed to forever walk on Earth because of the sins he committed. He cannot die. Kratos has the powers of hope from Pandora's box. The powers of hope turn Kratos into the abstract embodiment of the concept of hope itself! Using the concept of hope, he erased Zeus (who was also powered by the abstract concept of fear) and at the end, stabbed him with the blade of Olympus, releasing hope to the world. Kratos has the Blade of Olympus, the most powerful weapon in all the GOW Greek World, which can easily stomp GODS/Immortals/Titans, etc. It was made by Zeus who is of the most powerful GOD or Sky Father in the GOW Greek World from the Life force of The Heavens and The Earth. Infact this blade KOed all the Titans in single and teleported them to Tartarus (upper Underworld). It even killed Zeus. Kratos can stop time, slow down time and shift realms and he can also transcend time, as he has overpowered the time manipulation of Castor and Pollux, killed the Primordial Thanatos, and moved in areas under absolute time freeze (in the Temples of Fates). He can also use the Time Machine which he got after defeating Sister of Fates to go in Future/Past and see all outcomes of an event. So, he has full Manipulation on time. Do not forget that Kratos has the Golden Fleece, which can reflect ANY energy attack. It even absorbed the Attacks from The Blade of Olympus. It does not matter if they can destroy multiple Universes. Golden Fleece can absorb and reflect anything with full power. He can open a Hyperion Portal through Hyperion Essence and escape/attack anything at the speed of light. Or he can travel at Infinite speed through Boots of Hermes. Or use the Claws of Hades to rip out Souls. He can use all the souls which Hades and he captured using the Claws of Hades. Kratos has Limitless Strength, Stamina, Agility and Durability as he is the GOD Of War. He avoided being crushed by the hands of Atlas who holds the entire Universe, Heavens, and the Underworld in his hands for Eternities. Kratos beat Thanatos, a Primordial who fought in the Primordial war, which took place before the Universe and its time and space. So, Thanatos predates time and space i.e., modern Scientific principles do not apply to him. And Kratos killed him in his beast form. Kratos has overpowered sheer conceptual manipulation like time manipulation, fate manipulation, mind manipulation, reality manipulation, death manipulation of high degrees, etc. He even cut his threads of fate, which means he is not bound by it anymore. The Kratos here is the base form Kratos from GOW III with all his weapons at max level. Do not forget his different rage forms! It increases his strength, stamina, agility, and durability by a lot and takes it above the GOD level and increases his Runic attacks level. Ares gets endless amps through violence but even without it his true form in DC is about the size of a milky ways. The old gods and new God in DC all have their avatars that they can send and they don't realistically have to fight you unless you're in their zone then they are forced into combat. In this fight, I would also say Superman wins, since he is basically an indestructible god, having only a very few difficult weaknesses to obtain such as the kryptonite. Superman also draws his power from the sun which multiplies his strength to insane levels. He also has tremendous feats that have been seen on the comics throughout the years as unworldly. All of his powers combine make him a formidable foe for any opponent. I believe whenever Superman is involved in a VS, it all comes down to which version of Superman is being used. The most powerful version of Superman can pretty much beat anything you throw at him, no matter who it is he is up against, even himself. Then there is the weakest version, who can be beat easily by most opponents who normally wouldn't even be able to touch him. Then there are the many versions in-between. I've long since expected Superman to always win a VS match up, to the point whenever I see a VS with Superman, it isn't the question on if, it's who is he going to beat now? Kratos is extremely powerful for what I understand, and according to the defs of God of War, he is even more powerful than ever before, he grows in power the older he gets, only that he holds himself back so much, it exhausts him mentally to do so. I expected this result, but its still interesting to hear just how stupidly powerful Kratos really is. Kratos wiped out the Greek pantheon who were keeping the entire multiverses in balanced, he has the boots of Hermes which Hermes without the boots is said to be as fast as the speed of light and with the boots he is much faster than the speed of light so Kratos should be much faster than the speed of light not to mention he was keeping up with Hermes with the boots on , his rage :.if you've ever played any GOW games you would know that when Kratos gets his rage or gets angered shit goes down. In the canon lore, it has been stated that he carries souls of dead people to the Underworld and carries dreams to the people sleeping at night simultaneously. Plus, he was also able to go around the World in a finite time. Since the World in GOW is infinite in size (as it contains the endless Underworld, the Earth which completely covers it and the infinite sky), Hermes would be infinite in speed. Kratos outpaced and killed him, acquiring his boots. Now he has his speed. Kratos is immortal. He killed the Primordial concept of death, Primordial Thanatos (who created his own dimension, the domain of Death and survived after fighting in the Primordial war, which predated space-time). It was stated by Zeus himself that Kratos has become “Death…. the destroyer of worlds” when he beat Thanatos. He is cursed to forever walk on Earth because of the sins he committed. He cannot die. Kratos has the powers of hope from Pandora's box. The powers of hope turn Kratos into the abstract embodiment of the concept of hope itself! Using the concept of hope, he erased Zeus (who was also powered by the abstract concept of fear) and at the end, stabbed him with the blade of Olympus, releasing hope to the world. Kratos has the Blade of Olympus, the most powerful weapon in all the GOW Greek World, which can easily stomp GODS/Immortals/Titans, etc. It was made by Zeus who is of the most powerful GOD or Sky Father in the GOW Greek World from the Life force of The Heavens and The Earth. Infact this blade KOed all the Titans in single and teleported them to Tartarus (upper Underworld). It even killed Zeus. Kratos can stop time, slow down time and shift realms and he can also transcend time, as he has overpowered the time manipulation of Castor and Pollux, killed the Primordial Thanatos, and moved in areas under absolute time freeze (in the Temples of Fates). He can also use the Time Machine which he got after defeating Sister of Fates to go in Future/Past and see all outcomes of an event. So, he has full Manipulation on time. Do not forget that Kratos has the Golden Fleece, which can reflect ANY energy attack. It even absorbed the Attacks from The Blade of Olympus. It does not matter if they can destroy multiple Universes. Golden Fleece can absorb and reflect anything with full power. He can open a Hyperion Portal through Hyperion Essence and escape/attack anything at the speed of light. Or he can travel at Infinite speed through Boots of Hermes. Or use the Claws of Hades to rip out Souls. He can use all the souls which Hades and he captured using the Claws of Hades. Kratos has Limitless Strength, Stamina, Agility and Durability as he is the GOD Of War. He avoided being crushed by the hands of Atlas who holds the entire Universe, Heavens, and the Underworld in his hands for Eternities. Kratos beat Thanatos, a Primordial who fought in the Primordial war, which took place before the Universe and its time and space. So, Thanatos predates time and space i.e., modern Scientific principles do not apply to him. And Kratos killed him in his beast form. Kratos has overpowered sheer conceptual manipulation like time manipulation, fate manipulation, mind manipulation, reality manipulation, death manipulation of high degrees, etc. He even cut his threads of fate, which means he is not bound by it anymore. The Kratos here is the base form Kratos from GOW III with all his weapons at max level. Do not forget his different rage forms! It increases his strength, stamina, agility, and durability by a lot and takes it above the GOD level and increases his Runic attacks level. Kratos still managed to kill him by using his powers of Hope. You guys know what this means? HE KILLED A CONCEPT! He exists on the same level in the GOW U. And if you want to include GOW 4 feats which is a little over kill, he lifted the temple of Tyr which had all 9 realms in it and has a new weapon the Leviathan axe which is infused with the echoing screams of 20 Frost Trolls making its temperature absolute zero and is equal power with Mjolnir. In the fight between Thor and the World Serpent Thor hit him so hard that he traveled back in time and splintered the world tree. This means that Kratos with the Leviathan axe can send hit things so hard it can break time and space. He also fought Baldor who took down the World Serpent in 3 punches and Kratos was tanking dozens without even flinching and has the Guardian Shield Strong enough to parry Thor’s hammer swings which like I said before are so strong they sent the world Serpent back in time.
