Definitely can find an enormous amount of dandelions in the greater SanFran area !!! Just make sure they are far away from roads, rainwater drainage, and other land/water pollution. Dandelions are excellent for you - even 1 leaf a day makes for a healthy addition to any meal.

When I was a kid and my grandparents would visit in the spring my grandfather would ask us to get dandelions from the yard then he'd eat them or boil them for a salad. He was from southern Italy and that's what he did as a kid.

I have a cat who was 16 years old. She had dandruff and dull fur. I started giving her dandelion for a month. After a month, she got rid of dandruff. And the fur became shiny like a young cat's. Dandelion given regularly works wonders.

I've already bookmarked several recipes to try - and THIS is one of them! Here in Alabama we have dandelions everywhere in the spring and all summer long and bacon? yes! I'll try this one for sure. Yum! My family(ancestors) have always used dandelion in cooking...they were known for trading their dandelion wine( which i still make)😊 for edibles for dinner😊 i use dandelion leaves in a sautéing mix with mushrooms and add spinach. The roots i use to macerate in 100 proof vodka as a tincture.

This looks so good, Chef. You are truly a Master. My folks have some property in the low mountains east of Seattle. They do not fertilize their grass because of the wildlife (deer families, bears, raccoons, hawks and eagles), so I pick their dandelion leaves for them to use in soups and salads. Mom will be 85, and dad will be 84 this year. Cherish them while we can, right? We cherish you, Jacques. You are truly a Global Treasure. ⚘
