■ HIMALAYA, MANASLU: Going up alone against a massively challenging and dangerous peak whilst also seeing how locals live are my two favourite aspects of trekking the himalayan mountains of Nepal.
Today was my lucky day as I was able to experience both in one and the same day. After first walking up a steep mountain path to a village to see how locals there live, I continue on my own to scale a mountain peak that has not been conquered before.....

GREETINGS Harald, from far West Texas! Another EPIC series from Nepal and the Himalayas! This and your previous excursions there are, IMO, your best, to date. GREAT to see you and Sunil partner up for this one. There's something truly magical or mystical about that place, isn't there, Harald? The shear beauty of it all is magnificent! The people, their amazing homes, the mountains, rivers and valleys. IMO, Harald you made a fine attempt to scale one of those peaks. And the video gave more than ample perspective of how steep the so called trail is. Fine job! And there's something inviting about that home-brewed-distilled Gongo/Roxy. Outstanding journey! PEACE and be well Harald! PEACE and be well Sunil!

Incredible views.... hats off to you Harald for that 2nd climb. Coming down must of been truly by the seat of your pants. Such amazing people up there... so strong and fit. Yet most of them look so small. Adapting to the way of life up in those hills and mountains would put so many of us to shame with how we have become. They are also very generous yet have very little to give. Wonderful people. As much as it is sad the new road will remove much of the village from the last video, I really do hope that it brings many more tourists back to that area of Nepal, Hopefully they will be able to take down and rebuild many of the houses and the hotel and gongo bar so that many more tourists can come and enjoy the adventure for years to come and with it bring so much needed revenue to them. The journey Sunil and you have made has really put them on the map again and this has been an epic series of videos. Thank you for the effort you both put in to bring these to us all and happy and safe travels to you both. Much love to the people of Nepal.

Harald I'm glad you decided it was too risky to continue up the mountain. Even the lower section to the village was steep. You're an awesome operator and will try anything. My admiration for these people grow and grow as I watch them scale these treacherous paths. Well done once again 👏 👍 👌

@@EphemeralProductions I am used to it. The biggest danger on the brazilian forests of the southeast where I live (Minas Gerais) are the Jaguars, Pumas, wild boars and snakes. There are many poisonous little creatures but they do not attack you unless you provoke them.

1. Government has now ruined the possibility of adventuring in 90% of the potentially best mountains@@daniel2300 2. With roads being build everywhere (which is of course a good thing) not many paths will remain remote and traditional forever. This is good for locals living in remote areas so I am not against this. But it will however mean the demise of teahouse trekking and traditional communities as newcomers move in and build fancy hotels
