I’d like to think that the young godzilla who hugged the 1954 godzilla also survived. He became the showa godzilla and never knew that the humans he’s protecting were responsible for his fathers death. Maybe that’s why he’s slimmer in 1955, he’s a younger specimen and he went up to the surface in that film looking for his father. Then one day, he finds an egg left behind by two of the other Gojiras who were killed off. This became his son minilla. Maybe because showa godzilla was behind the mom, to Gojiras POV, it looks like he died instead of getting flung.

This feels very accurate to his origin. There are Japanese books that show Godzilla looked a lot like how he does in original movie, just much smaller. That’s how y’all know they did their research. This brought a tear to my eye. Seeing Godzilla watch his family die to the hands of mankind’s reckless behavior. Excellent portrayal of lore

That was so sad for what happened to Godzilla's species & family from the events of Godzilla (1954 film)🥺😭. I hope Toho's rule (Godzilla be an individual with having no species) will not be used in the MV story😔. And I hope Legendary will introduce a female Titanus Gojira (Godzilla's mate) & Minizilla/Gojira Junior along with some few survivng Titanus Gojiras for Godzilla (with the help of Monarch) to find somewhere in the Surface Earth or more likely in the Hollow Earth in the next upcoming MV film (2027), right👍😉🦖🌌

Beautiful animation but yet so emotional. This origin of Godzilla is really sad to see the Godzilla species and his family being killed by the atomic bomb, only the Godzilla we know survived and witnessed the aftermath, that's why Godzilla never forgives humanity. This could've been an origin story in the final cut of the 1954 film or make it to Minus One to make it emotional. Such an emotional origin for the king of the monsters.
