Daniel is great. One small thing I noticed though... "We got straight draws... We got flush draws... We got all kinds..." Lot to unpack in those 3 lines. Considering you'd only have a straight draw if you have a connecting card, you'd only have a flush draw if you have suited cards in your hand. And the last line, is deflective trying to dismiss the first two lines he said cause he realises he's giving too much away. Almost opening the floor to say there's endless possibilities. But if I were playing against Daniel here id of picked up on what he said here and realised he's probably got suited cards that connect with the board. Without this information the likelihood of him having a set, missing entirely i.e picture cards are higher. He narrowed down his own range a lot here I feel.

He had a pretty easy check-call on the river. But the 1.3x overbet really polarised Badziakouski. He's saying he has boat or nothing. B went for max value against Daniel's straights, but he has basically no bluffs going 1.3x pot on that river given the action. Great laydown by Daniel!
@nintendokings3 жыл бұрын
The only bluff I think he can have here are the 2 combos of 76s. Get Daniel to fold an overpair, any T, J9s. You wouldn't turn a 5 (or a T) into an overbet bluff like this. In terms of value he has 66, 77, 88, 99, 87s (3+3+1+3+2=12 combos). I don't see how 1.3x pot is anything other than exploitative, rather than GTO.
@nintendokings3 жыл бұрын
Although if B is GTO balanced and works in something weird like 44 or A4s into his bluff range here, then I really like the 1.3x. But I don't think he does and Daniel knows this, that's why he made the correct fold. OR if B has a very loose/aggro image, then 1.3x for exploits is great. Other than that, I think 1.3x is a mistake against a good player.

Well 67s is one of few bluffs I could find. Maybe some sort of 44 or JJ could be possible. When he raises flop his value range will be weighted toward sets, some two pair or T9. But T9/TT likely often bet turn and when he overbets river it will be bluff or full house probably. Solid fold but good to note it's only bluff catcher imo. Now of course question is what he calls with? How often he has either full house or blockers to full house?

Everything has showdown value there (pairs, 3 of a kind TX for the straight), the overbet is polarized, so, JT is a bluffcatcher always.

how much coke did Daniel do again? Great read though either way...

intra morph He doesn’t do coke.. he’s just naturally energetic. He’s a vegan and healthy eater there’s no way he’d touch that crap

The best thing about daniel is he is really chirpy and chatty all the while he is reading your every reaction. That is why he is so damn good. Because that is really hard to do simultaneously. I believe he truly is the goat

At 4:14 the commentator said "let it go one time Daniel". It was like he was speaking directly into that micro receiver in Daniel's ear.🕵

I hate that Daniel doesn't have an inner monologue. So many tool bags at 1/2 NL talk so much during hands now to grandstand because they saw Daniel do it. It seriously slows down the game.

Some people just enjoy to think out loud, and Daniel's one of those people. Of course, some people just try to be like him, but a lot of people do it because it genuinely helps them solve problems by spelling it out loud. Sometimes things just seem more obvious when you say it out loud than when you just think about it in your head

what you say bro ? he talk so loud what he think then he will maybe have a reaktion from the player. thats absolutly nice what he do. he is for the next time in the head from that guy. that so good. and what is with the time ? any player have time cards. the new timebank rules are very good and so mutch faster then befor ! and the last point is, its not a difference to play 1/2 NLH or highroller MTT... the decision must be ever right. when you dont do it, you play -ev

He's also gauging the reaction of the person he is opposing too. Talk has its value when it comes from.a wise mouth.

Daniel knew his hand from the start(flopped set or over pair but the river bet made it the set option), hence all the chatter and checking the turn.

I guess bluffing in this spot would be absurd so Daniel has to put him on a straight or a boat. 5 for the bottom straight probably doesn’t bet that big on the river. AT KT QT seem like the most likely value hands that he is beating, but those might not raise flop unless this guy is aggressive, which Daniel may have previous reads that say he isn’t aggressive. At first it seems like a crazy fold but the river overbet on a board with four cards to the straight makes this seem like a reasonable laydown.

It's because he just called Daniel's relatively small preflop raise - I'll bet Daniel put him on a low to mid pocket pair from the start. Then, when he raises the flop, Daniel thinks he has a set and is protecting himself from straights.

I once met Daniel in Toronto . I took a picture with him , he was super nice . As I walked away he told me," it's ok , size doesnt matter on the long run" I still hope he was talking about size of betting , otherwise how did he know ?

Daniel even hinted Kouski after saying "Don't do it to me man, come on, I got a good heart" (2:06-2:08) hahaha epic Negreanu
