Even if he didn't voluntarily leave , based on the rate at which redbull was replacing drivers he would have very quickly been replaced anyways . Checo is a special case because of the amount of money he brings into the team from carlos slim and he's lack of quarreling with decisions on the car made to deliberately favour max but even with that he's also already looking down the barrel of the same gun . At the end of the day the team needs two drivers to both be in their "A game" and contribute towards the constructors championship and having a "mid" driver next to max doesn't achieve that goal - as a clear example it's also the reason why they've already lost the lead of the constructors as we speak .

He did not run away from a upcoming Max it was clear that Redbull was putting all resources into Max & Dan was left with the dregs without much support, Also Maxs driving behaviour was just like Schumacher & Vettel take everyone out as long as you win including your teammate. Dan leaving Redbull due to bias towards Max was the same as Webber & Vettel thats why Webber left. A team is everyone not just 1.

Hey guys I have been watching f1 for 2 years so still new. Can someone explain this. Ricardo’s car was able to fetch the point for the fastest lap that means it is equally good to other cars racing on that grid. So why is it that RB is lacking so much and are so behind in constructors? A car that is able to get the fastest lap was not able to be fast enough for majority of the laps? So is it only the drivers fault or something else? It is a very noob question I know but please help me understand.

Fresh, softest, tyre on the last lap (low fuel) while others had 20/30+ laps old tyres of the hardest kind. 5 laps before RIC, MAG (HAAS) did the same, only his time was deleted beause of tracklimits.

I question what direction he was given by his manager - who is that by the way? As muc( as most people like him, we all know that F1 is about delivering results. He feared he’d not be able to compete with Max and left so he’d not be seen as a lesser driver. He chased the money, got lots of it (and more when released from McLaren) - so it’s time everyone stopped feeling sorry for him. He’ll live a very very comfortable life. Time for more skilled younger drivers to have their chance.

Riccardo have been giving more opportunities then any driver on the grid. From Red Bull to Renault, McLaren, RB Racing, and Horner, always a Riccardo fanboy, basically handed Riccardo, Checo's seat if Riccardo can proved himself against Yuki, and he couldn't, Checo signed a new deal and Riccardo, once again, is giving one more opportunity, show some progress after the break, he did for one race, but them went backwards.

The FIA should not allow junior teams or B teams. There effectively only 4-5 competing teams. VCARB will never be better or competitive with redbull, same with HAAS and Ferrari etc…

RBR have chanced the mindset of the current teams to take a chance on new drivers, in their B-team. MERC would never have gone for ANT 5 years back. Even Audi now still is probably going for BOT, of all people, FFS.

It is a combination of a lot of things, younger guns filling the grid, psychological burden of leaving Renault so quickly, cars stepping away mechanical wise to what he likes, and just trying to get back on top, it is no easy task
