By some calling them out I meant someone saying that they shouldn't do it and are doing it for bad reasons (to mislead people). You did mention that the battery is 432Wh in the Challenger and that's the number we should focus on not the other one, but only in your full review and not your unboxing. You also didn't take side in whether or not Onsra should be doing this, therefore I don't consider like you called them out for this. I totally understand why you didn't want to take any side, but someone has to if we want onsra to quit doing this.

Yes, it's just wrong to calculate Watthours with the maximum voltage! (It's not right even in a certain point of view in my opinion). You have to multiply the nominal voltage with the Amperehours to get the Energy that is stored inside the battery measured in Watthours (Wh)!

Your videos are amazing. Informative. Helpful. And funny at times. I'm looking for my first board without. I have no experience. Hopping to cruise at about 20 MPH. In another video, you seemed critical of direct wheel drive. You didn't express any reservations about that in this video. Two questions; (1) Would this be a better board than the Backfire G3 for a first timer? (2) Are the 115 rubber wheels better at handling rough roads, cracks, and rocks?

Thanks for calling them on the capacity ratings. I'd also like to point out that Onsra uses the samsung E series cells, which are high capacity but low amperage, while at the same time using fewer "Ps" than competitors. This means that the packs may die faster than other batteries due being used at amperages they really aren't meant for. Explains the mere one year warranty for the battery, doesn't it. Also means the cells wouldn't handle fast charging as well. The hobbywing ESC isn't as power hungry as a VESC can be, but I really don't like how Onsra seems to be choosing to run things at the redline.

@@josephkwok5312 The number of P in a battery pack, is how many cells are in parallel. A single cell, or group of them in series, can provide a certain amount of amps (at a certain temperature). Amps are what decide acceleration. Different cells exist, usually they bring tradeoffs, high capacity and low amperage, or low capacity and high amperage. High amperage cells are able to push more amps, without getting hot. The more batteries in S, or series, the more voltage. The more in parallel, the more amps. If you don't have high amp cells, you need more of them in parallel to get the same amps. That said, there isn't actually some hard limit in the cells, you can pull any amount of amps you like, a cell will happily push out twice its rating, only it will then die four times sooner. It seems to me that Onsra is happy sacrificing the longevity of their packs, pulling both high range and high acceleration, from a pack that is too small (in number of cells) to really do both using the particular cell they're built with.

(You have to calculate the stored energy measured in Watthours by multiplying the nominal voltage with the Amperehours, so using the maximum voltage is not right even from a certain point of view)

i never experienced wheelbite with my challenger the only time where it would be possible is at extremely low speed (below 5kmh) but for that there is a kicktail when riding normally its not possible because there is no way anybody is able to turn or carve like that

Turn off both the board and the remote. If board has standby mode, turn off board using the power button on the board. Next, hold down the power button on the board and the remote for several seconds to re-pair them. You'll be shown menu options to adjust ratios and stuff.

@@ryannelson7967 1) That is not how they used the term Chinaboard since that would not describe Exway’s boards. 2) They made a comparison video with a pre-production Chinese board that had its performance set for beginners, then used that as evidence that Chinese boards are inferior. Not just that one board they compared, but all Chinese boards in general. And then went on to make further generalizations about boards from China. Of course the truth is all the major boards from China from the same category as the GTR can outperform the GTR. The takeaway of their video was that Chinese boards are inferior for no other reason than being from China. Sounds pretty racist to me. But I’ve been nice lately and calling them bigoted instead of racist.

Use the chart on this page ( dkwan.com/how-to-estimate-range/ ) to get a rough idea of the battery capacity you’ll need to get 30+ km. As for the speed, I think nearly all electric skateboards can reach > 30 km/h.

Hey man I absolutely love your videos! I know its probably unlikely but If you are ever in Portland Oregon hit me up and we can ride sometime. So I have a Boosted v2 dual + that I have been riding since its release. I have had to replace its xr battery two different times, the first time it just stopped charging and the next it got the RLOD. A couple weeks ago my deck decided to crack and then pretty much snap in half on me :( Now I love me boosted board and am very tempted to go to Boosted USA or the BoostedGuys and buy a replacement deck for about $200 but I am worried my battery might die on me again. I have really been wanting to invest in an AT board and would like to know what you would recommend. I have a siberian husky the I ride with on a regular basis, he pulls me on my snowboard in the winter but its summer now and it would be so cool to be able to ride with him off road. What would you recommend for me? Right now im stuck with my non electric that I built nearly 10 years ago. Its still fun and actually a unique experience to be completely husky driven but the deck is an old sector 9 burleigh bamboo and is probably going to give out on me any day now. So what would you recommend for me? Currently I am tryin to decide between the Onsra black carve 2, the Backfire Ranger, the Exway Atlas and the Raldey at-v2. I have only ever ridden my boosted board (which I love) and am wondering if the direct drive on the Onsra might be better for riding with my husky do to the fact that there would be less resistance for the direct drive. Im not 100% how it works as belt driven is all I know. While I ride with my husky a fair amount I also ride by myself sometimes and I like to go fast/hard, well as fast as my boosted would allow after I put bigger wheels and ceramic bearings (I know ceramic bearings probably didnt do much as it is belt driven). So what would you recommend? Or is there another board that I haven't listed that you recommend? Is it time for me to just retire the boosted board or should I just go ahead and buy another deck. I feel like I should as I have already invested so much, I even have an extra remote and charger... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks man, keep making these great videos!

Are you planning to have your husky pull your electric skateboard? There’s quite a bit of resistance from the motors compared to a normal longboard. Personally I think I’d get the Boosted deck, and later use it as a normal longboard deck when the electronics die. I like regularly longboarding more than e-skating anyway so I wouldn’t mind having another unpowered longboard with a good deck. Of those boards you mentioned, my preference would be the Atlas in 2WD.

I would start with ruling out the Ranger and the Raldey, and from the Black Carve 2 and the Atlas, the Atlas seems like a better buy. As far as specs (and looks but that's subjective) go, I would get the Atlas.

My order was never completed, my board was supposed to be replaced with a brand new board after 1 month, that never happened. multiple issue/problems. But they're not really because sometimes the companies they use the cheapest parts on the board for China, and customer service companies are really rude and love to criticize. I probably should have explained that more. Wheelbite is just something you have to think about on boards without cutouts for the wheels, like trick skateboards, pintail boards, lots of cruisers, etc. Some board setups are more likely than others to get wheelbite, and some people are more ok with it than others. It’s very unlikely for this board to get wheelbite at cruising speed. Personally I prefer to minimize wheelbite as much as possible. The stock setup doesn’t have enough pushback when leaning that much, but that’s my opinion. Like I said in the video I resolved that through changing bushings and washers.

@@klrktsr Read the full comment pls: Can't tell you much since I don't own the board but i'll esc (it isnt vesc), motor (isn't from alien motors or boutique shops), trucks (semi-premium at best evolve tier isn't psychotiller or anything) and hubs for the wheels look rather cheap. BUT I don't think it is a bad board because of the reliability and customer service... sure it is probably only worth half its price but at the end of the day is there are some qc issues from cheaper brands and they almost never fully honor their warranty (from ownboards and etc.) and unless you enjoy DIY-ing, fixing boards and resoldering connections (which I don't despite having a trampa and suffer mild buyers remorse) you are better off getting a onsra vs a trampa/kaly and etc board since you can ride it out of the box and never have to worry much...
