Use Tru Oil for gun stock, its awesome stuff.

You can use either. Danish oil is linseed oil with a couple extra ingredients. I did about 12 coats of linseed oil on an old carcano. Came out amazing. I'm experimenting with danish oil. I think it leaves a nicer finish. Tru oil is garbage. To glossy. I hate the look.
