Success requires focus. Focus requires sacrifice. Sacrifice requires value. Value requires scarcity. Scarcity requires perception of pain. Perception of pain requires both a physical and psychological trigger. Physiological triggers are dictated by our biological needs. Psychological triggers are dictated by our cultures, religions, self beliefs, friends, family, relationships, … Relationships or the lack thereof form a critical pillar for domino effect of the above mentioned requirements for our sense of success and happiness in life. It’s so much about good relationships ❤ which is so much of what is missing in people’s lives.

I think that might be true for neurotypicals. I went most of my life as a neurodivergent without diagnose coming from a toxic family... hearing and listening is amped up, things quickly make my brain and senses overwhelmed. I also don't "get" those social unwritten rules easily. Hustling, "going" out and making my own way... I'm already tore apart from numerous tries. I really do not aspire to be millionaire and have a successful business but it seems there's no other way of having little peace. I want the peace to live with my child, eat well, work enough without hustling and that's it until I recover from severe anxiety "trying" things for myself over decades brought me. I can't enlighten myself through my erros and people say I`m not trying enough or victimizing. Very hard to find balance enough for me to have one full day at peace. I do agree with most of your content and really appreciate your teachings. The only thing I disagree is that I need to see people doing to understand and doing by myself can only go so far.

Dan, you consistently put out content that challenges us to look at a problem or goal from a different perspective. I like that your delivery of information is often so straightforward in tone and almost emotionless that as a listener, I don't feel as though I'm being sold something. It's like you're so confident that what you are saying is true that a person would almost be a fool not to apply it. It's a refreshing approach in the self-improvement space, and I'm sure others feel the same way.

I agree so much. With social media specially, you see how much of the information out there is really good and helpful, but so little applies to your actual specific situation and moment in time. So, as Dan said, try by yourself. And by trying, by doing, you will get to the obstacles or questions that will direct your learning into something that is a truly and specific problem that you have. Then, you learn

Experience. The number one way to get over failure, the fear of failure, and any social stigma that may be associated is to fail. Try, fail, try, fail, try, fail, finally try, succeed. Keep doing it again and again. Asking for advice is like tutorial hell for programmers when the best way to learn is to do. Want the job? Apply. It all comes down to action, just do at some point stop thinking.

One helpful piece of advice coming from me, just an obsessed freak with information and understanding, is to try ordering your information take-in intently as well. If I watch this, then watch a video on a thing I want right after, I'll listen to it differently. Using this skill will get you to go nuts over how much you can learn, but remember to take action with it, don't get lost in the sauce.

Asking for advice can hinder success because most advice seeks to avoid mistakes, leading to lack of experience and understanding. Effective learning involves conscious goal-setting. Personal growth requires skill development, self-reliance, and curating an environment that promotes meaningful suffering for growth.
