[Verse 1] She sits alone by a lamp post Trying to find a thought that's escaped her mind She says Dad's the one I love the most Michael Stipe's not far behind [Verse 2] She never lets me in Only tells me where's she's been When she's had too much to drink I say that I don't care I just run my hands through her dark hair And I pray to God, help me fly away He said [Chorus] Let her cry, if the tears fall down like rain Let her sing, it eases all her pain Let her go, walk right out on me now And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be, let her be [Verse 3] This morning I woke up alone Found a note standin' by the phone That said maybe, D just maybe, I'll be back some day Like a fool, I wanted to look for you You walked in, I didn't know just what I should do So I sat back down with a case of Bud and a bottle of Jim Beam and I felt sorry for me And said [Chorus] Let her cry, if the tears fall down like rain Let her sing, if it eases all her pain Let her go, walk right out on me now And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be, let her be now, let her be [Solo] [Verse 4] Last night I tried to leave She cried so much I can not believe She was the same girl I fell in love with long ago Hmmmm She went in the back to get high I sat down on my couch and started to cry for my Momma I said, Mamma please won’t you come and take me outta here She said, boy [Chorus] Let her cry, her tears fall down like rain Let her sing, she can sing, she can sing, and it eases all her pain You gotta let her go I walked out on her you see And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be, yeah [Chorus] Let her cry, yes her tears fall down like rain Let her sing, if it eases all her pain Let her go, no, no I walked out on her, I left her you see And if sun comes up tomorrow Let her be, no, no, no, no, no, oh Let her be

I absolutely adore Darius and I’m from South Carolina and my very good childhood friend who had the band “Tootie and the Jones’s” introduced me several times to him and he is the nicest most amazing artist I’ve ever met in the music industry. Funny thing is years later here I am CEO of my own record label Platinum Door Entertainment, llc and I am executive A&R for Blank Kanvaz Records as well as executive management for Death Row Records. I can honestly tell you that most artists have a God Complex whether they are a current relevant artist in the industry or not but Darius is the exception to that rule. He’s just amazing!

Who's Still Listening 11/2021? When I first started listening to Darius Rutger, the only thing I knew was lead singer of "Hootie" & The Blow Fish. So way bk then ( Duh) I thought his real name was Hootie. Not until he went Solo, did I know his real name was "Darius Rutger" so I Believe, he made the "Right Move" in doing so and making a all comes down to is that Darius aka Hootie, has Alway's been & Alway's Will be, the Same Talented Musician/ Artist, that we have all loved!" I wish Darius/ Hootie would come play at the Brand New (2021) Amphitheater, in Wilmington N.c. I Guarentee Darius aka Hootie concert Tickets Would Sell Out Fast! a few and then after the Concert, ya could go & Chill, at one of Wilmington 's Beautiful ⛱ Beaches. ( Also, that way, us older Fans, ( Aka B- Boomers 😆) wouldn't have to drive, all the way (2-3 hrs) to Raleigh, NC, to see you play. ( Although bk in the Day, I saw quite a few amazing concerts in Raleigh, Nc). God Bless Darius/ Hootie!
