I own this monitor and I have put it up against other monitors in the $400 - $500 price range. It always wins. You will not get better until you get in the $600 to $700 range in my opinion. It goes on sale for $400 all the time and even $350 like when I bought it. If you see this for $350 absolutely grab it!

At 5:30. From everything I have played over the years, I think it's safe to say that "most" competitive multiplayer gaming is better on a 16:9 format. Mainly because the extra viewing on the sides with 21:9 or 32:9, almost seems to be more distracting and too much information to visually analyze as quickly as you need to.

Thanks for the review. Great content. I have 2 monitors in a slight V formation which I use for video editing. I'm really wanting something without a giant bar in the middle to get my 2 screens of editing more coalesced. The lack of speakers are a killer for me. I know built in speakers are garbage but I need to hear what I'm doing in the least "good," audio situation to know if my mix still works. Still considering this monitor.

Picked this up for $269! Can you suggest some settings to improve picture quality? I've been playing with it and can't get to a good one. That HDR feature is annoying.

Did you only play PC games on the monitor or did you test your PS5 on it as well?

i haven’t done extensive testing. I will be doing a video this week (hopefully) about using the PS5 with this monitor as well as 3 others I have. I hope to get 1080p/120fps working on all of them, but that might be wishful thinking. A 21:9 monitor for the PS5 is overkill as that aspect ratio isn’t supported as far as I know. Edit: I didn’t realize it was you until I looked at your name. The lack of a beard threw me off. Haha.

no dont buy for ps5. as far as im aware ps5 doesnt/wont support ultrawide resolutions. stick to 16:9 resolutions

consoles dont support ultrawide, it just stretches the image and it looks bad

It seems like Monoprice manufacture defective monitors, I purchase Dark Matter 34" curved gaming monitor after 6 months this monitor doesnt light-up, shows blank screen, I contact customer care, they ask me to change hdmi and made me to do some exercise and after that they told this monitor need replacement as this is a defective item, and they refuse to do the replacement inspite my monitor is under warranty as I did not retain the invoice. I would not recommend any product from Monoprice as they manufacture defect items and turn their back by giving excuses and find the reason to deny the warranty services

@@HomeTheaterGamer I did and its GREAT. It was open box and came missing one of the monitor screws but I had one close enough. The picture is great! No dead pixels. Gsync works great enabled and looks great in games. Watched your review before I got it
