It's been 10 years and I'm still revisiting every now and then. This is by far my favorite Dark Souls series and possibly one of my favorites on youtube overall. Very atmospheric, very educational, great to compare some new school runners trying this challenge to. Absolutely love it, and hope Somethodox is doing good in life right now.

You're not useless, trust me! It's just that once you've got a firm handle on the mechanics and you've learnt the enemy patterns it does get a lot easier. Until then Dark Souls is not a very forgiving mistress!

I love that you chose to do a melee only challenge. This is much more interesting to watch than using the same pyromancy every time. I am interested to see how far you can actually get. I cant believe that after countless playthroughs I have learned yet another new shortcut. No more running up the back way from blight town to get PW anymore! Abhishek Agarwal the easiest way to kill capra demon is to enfuse one of your weapons with fire and as soon as you went the fog gate run up the stairs to your left and the dogs will follow you up the stairs and then kill them from there after killing the dogs just play it safe and make sure to Doge the Capras to handed jump attack

qsqua You can parry the knight in Undead Parish who's wielding a huge mace, I think you should be able to parry a dragon's tooth; that and this is Dark Souls, where almost anything combat-wise is considered fair.

+qsqua You can parry-riposte and backstab Havel and you can parry-riposte Gwyn and thoose big black knights (Undead Parish, painted world), but you can't backstab them.

I concur with Sora... Nicely done. I'm surprised the encoding process didn't completely destroy that font. It has more detail than should rightly be readable after smoothing and resizing. Certainly more pleasant than listening to someone ramble on to fill the dead space, that's for sure.

Thanks man! I read somewhere that he's just busy doing other things, so hopefully he'll finish up the challenge in his own time. And fair point regarding the weapons. Basically my two clubs are +5 up to the Depths. After that I tried to get all the farming and my upgrades out the way in one go. By the end of this video I'm using a +14 Great Club and a +15 Demon's Greataxe.

Then to the asylum(ok),the depths(ok)since cappera but still how did you get to lower.b,londo ruins(ok),and last but not least the gargoyles still fine but I still don't get the lower burg if the gargoyles drop the key to the only external entrance possible I'm almost certain master key doesn't work on any of the three of them. Still very well put together especially without commentary to cover the slack.

i started a challenge of my own. play the entire game as warrior with the initial equipment (upgrading the gear is ok, but not modifying it to stuff like fire/divine/boss etc). no magic, no bows, no putting secondary weapons in the slots and the only exception permitted is using the straight sword of astora for the crypt. only rings are ok to swap at will
