this is what i love about dark souls. its 3 years old but you can still play it like its a new game by changing the rules. you also don't have to do the bosses in a set way like making them run into stuff then attacking a weak spot on their stomach or lame shit like that.

This is why I love this channel. Consistent content with a purpose that is both entertaining and addictive. Thank you for your content I realize it takes quite a bit of effort to produce it the way you do and I would like you to know how much it means to me. After the countless times S&O killing me as a noob, you find a way to one shot them and, sitting on my couch watching this, I've done something I haven't done in Dark Souls in years, I cheered to see them go down in such a quick death! Mad props to you thanks for making me cheer again!!!

Yes the Ricard's combo would theoretically count for 2 hit deaths, but a single button press only makes 2 initial attacks, the others come at the second button press. The problem as you've already figured out is how to get to that point using only dex since you'd have to get past Quelaag to open Sen's. Even if you did though, most boss kills would require the the full combo, ie; 2 button presses, meaning you'd get less points overall.

Try as many times as you like. Just make sure that the killing blow is either a one or two shot or else it is over.

That's the plan, though some of them will have to be one point kills at best. The means to kill the newer mobs are located beyond them, so it's sort of a conundrum.

Yep, I've actually passed the Sanctuary Guardian but decided to take a break and continue later. I'm guessing Artorias will be a major pain and I'm not going to settle for 2 hits unless I absolutely have no other choice. I've been messing around with some other games and just started Persona 4 last night.

That was for the hammer he used to kill Quelaag, not the axe he has now. The only way you can get it is cutting of the Gaping Dragon's tale. He explained that he cut of its tail and quit out.

See the points. They show how many times you are allowed to level up, example: 19 points = 7 points in strength, 2 points in dexterity and lets say 10 points in intelligence. Which means that you have used up all your points so planning what to level is very important for this run

Yes it still counts as a single attack. Same as ripostes, homing soul mass, etc...

I die plenty, or I simply quit out after I realize it's not happening and come back outside the fog. This is why you never seen any bloodstains. I don't usually rage per say, but I can get frustrated at times when luck isn't going my way. When things finally went perfect against O&S using the DKGA I yelled at the TV when I realized Super O had about 2% life left after my attack. I knew Pyro could take them down but I really wanted to do it with melee and GMW just wasn't enough.

Since you seem to be missing the obvious, I'll copy past directly from the description. 3. Must earn the right to level using the point system. - One shotting a boss gives 2 points. - Two shotting a boss gives 1 point. - One shotting a mini boss gives 1 point. The challenge starts out at level 1 and you have to earn the ability to level up. I could I could have named it "start out low level but gain the ability to level up as you play" challenge, but I figured most would get what I meant.

One thing that occurred to me to use in this was that rapier that has a 6x combo attack with darkmoon blade boosted, also in "super hyper mode". Since one press of a button counts as "1 attack", such a thing would probably do tremendous damage. Instead of str/int you'd go dex/faith in such a build...although I couldn't think in video #1 how to get past the early areas. I think most people will use pyro heavily if they try this, the main difference will be what else is chosen.

If you heard the rules (I didn't read them, i heard them while watching part1) the level can increase only once you reach 10 points (lvl10) and every 10 points you can add 10 more levels.

Since the Dragon Torso Stone effect makes you do more damage the faster you attack after the Dragon shout, the Chaos Storm wouldn't benefit much from it, as it has a long charge up time. Instead, the crown of dusk is used, which increases magical damage by 20%.

It took me getting the DKGA in order to one hit the Hydra so to get the Oolacile cat early would have cost me a point. By the time I did it I already had enough int to make the O-cat inferior. Some may be willing to make the sacrifice, but I was stubborn. Hydra is another roadblock in this challenge. He's difficult to one shot due to his heads all leaving the instant you kill one so firestorm and the like won't work. You basically have to do enough damage to a single head at once.

Well Mr. Vageta!!! What can i say!!! When Dark Souls came out, i bought it immediately, and i figured out in where short time, that I'm simply a REALLY BAD DKs player!! I left the game a few times, without playing for months!! Then one day i started a new Charakter and got immediately to great Hollow, to get the Dragon Headstone, to do the infinite souls glitch!! I leveled to LvL 586 and began my Playthrough and thought it was still very hard an died a lot!!! You are insane Bro!!!! AWESOME

Also I'm eventually getting CMW which is a ton better than GMW and I need 25 int for it anyways. Now that I've gotten enough STR to 2h my weapons of choice, I'll get far more damage out of scaling INT up than I would more points in STR. At this point end and vit and pointless since I'm always at low health, and in this challenge low total health is actually better.

I did it with the DKGA more than once but it doesn't matter. The cutscene always triggers and you have to fight one of the super versions.

Rule number 3 is what you should read :) He can only level up to the number of bosses he has oneshot, so to speak. That's the points counter on the top right corner there. starting at level1+the number of points he has gotten

How is the armored boar in Undead burg considered a mini-boss but Gargs in Anor Londo arent? Same as for Sen's Fortress,how come the 2 giants that dont respawn ( the one t hrowing rocks and the one opening the fortress doors) Arent considered as mini-bosses???

You're somewhat on the right track, different upgrade paths require different types of titinate. Demon titanite is for special weapons. Such as boss soul weapons. answer to your second question yes.

Honestly I'm not sure what to do about Bed of Chaos. It's an automatic one shot per target, and there's no possible way to kill them all at once. With as many points as I have now I'm thinking it just shouldn't be counted at all. Two free points for doing nothing more than a standard boss kill seems pointless.

I haven't really played many graphic intensive games, though I was able to run Witch 2 enhanced in 1080p with settings at Ultra at 60fps without much issue.

Maybe you can use a crystal demon axe in conjunction with greater magic weapon, the dragon roar, and red tearstone for those harder bosses?

Ahh, Strangely enough im tempted to try a counter attack punish for artorias. Would need to exploit weaknesses though as the most damaging weapon a pyro can use that would exploit leo ring is the Pickaxe. Do you think a Red Tear PW Dragon Leo ring counter with a Divine Pickaxe +10 would do the trick?

I doubt it, he's resistant to magic damage and has a ton of hps. I'm not even sure if a DKGA with CMW and all the trimmings could pull it off. I will say I'm past Artorias at this point, but I won't say how many hits as I don't want to encourage/discourage anyone until the video is up.

He could fight the Gaping Dragon, cut its tail, get the axe, and then homeward bone out of the fight. He can then reach Blighttown through the other path by the water wheel.

Hmm, try it with power within crystal soul spear red tearstone bellowing dragoncrest crown of dusk, may work. If not, Crystal +5 demon greataxe + Sunlight blade + dragon roar + power within + red tearstone might. Also yeah, manus is resistant to physical, lightning and all types of dark magic (which actually do magic damage despite the description).

Two shotting them is possible, but one shotting them probably isn't. Problem is that the spell that is capable of one shotting artorias isn't available until after killing him. Sanctuary guardian should be cake, but Kalameet and Manus have a ton of hps and Manus is likely resistant to Dark Magic so even Dark Bead may not be enough.

I do plan on having the dragon stone and darkmoon blade. I was wondering which covenant i will use to maximize damage; the damage boost and longer shockwave from the roar, or the higher magic adjust of darkmoon blade.

Wait, you complained about me skipping the first seath encounter on video 5, but you're advocating using the spell swap glitch for the challenge itself? Not that it matters, "no death" wasn't a part of the challenge so skipping him was only a time saver, but damage wise I am attempting to do it "legit". Aside from that, Manus is weak to fire but doing a one shot with chaos firestorm is lucky at best. I've gotten him to within 800 hps but it would take the stars aligning to get it just right.

The tail does respawn, it just doesnt drop the weapon anymore.

That's the Demon Greataxe, not the Dragon King Greataxe, which is the tail cut from the Gaping Dragon.

At 2:26, I was totally confused and thought this was footage from a NG+ or someone gave it to you. It took me a good 5 minutes to realize that you cut his tail off before you went back to killed him with the DKG.

He can just cut the tail off, Homeward Bone out, and come back into the fight. Tails don't stay cut off if you fight a boss a second time.

I don't know, I used the buff with great fireball and it didn't do any more damage than when I used great fireball without the buff. I think it may only buff physical attacks but I'm not sure, I only tested it with great fireball.

Manus has greater magic defense than physical, I think a 2h R2 from a sunlight-bladed Crystal +5 Demon Greataxe at 99 str and Fai should be enough to kill him (not forgetting the power within, red tearstone and all the other crap). If not, you can probably kill him in 2 hits, I definitely know that manus is weak to fire, but there is no fire-buff (aside from resin). It was however possible pre-patch to one-shot every boss on NG+(5) but you had to use the spellswap glitch to do it.

Congrats for those epic one-shots, I am still so far behind lol still farming like mad to get to take out Queelag. INT is the way that I want to do it too and the velka talisman scales with int so you won t be limited and is sold instead of the catalyst that needs the soul of gwin to forge (scale with faith) crystal wpn would be sweet but I am so far off, u can get it soon though anyhow that u already know but thx again for that challenge most fun I had playin DkS since it s release.

The only thing you need to know to be able to beat Artorias is how to dodge all of his moves correctly. It isn't difficult to notice what he's going to do because he telegraphs his moves alot. I had a hard time too on NG+4. It seemed impossible to be able to survive long enough to take down all his HP. But once I figured out all his moves and how to dodge and counter them, he actually became one of the easier bosses of the game.

The more I thought about it the less viable it seemed. You COULD deliberately whiff on the opening part of the combo, though :D. It just doesn't seem good enough to be viable. Quelag really does seem like the big bottleneck in this because she's immune to fire and otherwise boosted hypermode pyros make short work of most of the bosses/minibosses.

You can go into the fight, cut the dragon's tail and quit with the axe and no victory. Then, you fight him again from zero.

You don`t get the dragon king greataxe from shiva, you get the demon`s greataxe. Dragon king greataxe is from the gaping dragon, you get it by cutting off it`s tail.

There is one playthrough on NG+7 at SL1 made by a person named Emarrel. So that should maybe give you more motivation to go through with the entire battle lol. Especially since you're on normal NG. Good luck.
