Where does it say The Lord of Bones is Argul's Son (only place online I can find is a fan made wiki page)? I thought The Lord of Bones was merely Argul's second in command. Can you guys let me know where from the canon that info comes from (or did you get it from that one single wiki page?)? EDIT: Never mind... I see someone else asked this and the info did come from that one fan made wiki page (miss-information... I went and fixed the wiki page and took the son part out). On a side note the Nephilim's Souls never passed through the Land of the Dead so that did not cause a lot of work for them (Death imprisoned their souls in the amulet that he gave to the Crow Father... though he was supposed to have destroyed the souls but could not bring himself to do it).

Argul's madness may have in part have to do with his crown and the abilities it granted to the wielder(you get it from the final boss in soul arbiter maze). Here's the description: “The Crown of the Dead previously adorned the brow of the deposed king - Argul. The crown was enchanted to provide monetary riches in return for destruction - The crown is infamously responsible for inciting pernicious greed. Thus, placing it into the hands of the Chancellor would be a foolish mistake.”
@TrueMastersandMorons6 жыл бұрын
We did find the reference to that item, and you're correct it is entirely possible that the crown could have influenced Argul's madness, or heightened or even been the initial cause of his insanity. Though based upon its description it seems like there would have to have been more than just this single source of Smaug-like Greed. Otherwise we agree, seems to be a suspicious possible culprit, we just didn't have anything solid to say about it so we left it out.
@thyrlindberg93105 жыл бұрын
Maybe it is that the one who wears the crown is granted power over the souls of the dead, which could explain why Argul is so weak while the lord of bones is so strong now.
@NotBorno4 жыл бұрын
nephilim souls didn't pass through dead kingdom btw. their souls were trapped in the amulet remember?
@jamaljonesroach45405 жыл бұрын
I believe that argul was not always the mad king, but instead started going mad round about the time the nephilim began raiding realms. To which I also believe was not done in search of a home, but instead done in a similar fashion to war’s battle lust

Might be a little early before Darksiders 3 but how about the abyssal armors of War and Death? Also there a pair of legendary arm blades called the litch spines that apparently the Lord of Bones used to dethrone Argul 🤨

I thought in a DLC for DS2, some ice demon explained to Death that Argul went mad because see saw a vision of the Horsemen during the Apocalypse.
@TrueMastersandMorons4 жыл бұрын
He mentions that Argul saw visions of the four horsemen, and that people thought he was mad. But there's no particular indication that said visions drove Argul mad in the first place. (We do play through that DLC in our Darksiders 2 let's play, near the end, if you want to see what he says (It's the merchant Ostegoth)).

@TrueMastersandMorons6 жыл бұрын
Admittedly after we made this video we were asked where we found where the lord of bones was the son of Argul. Truth is it's said once in a wiki and we completely forgot to double check it. So it's very possible that The lord of bones isn't Argul's Son thus if we had not had this incorrect information you wouldn't have asked this question. So thank you for your question and it's very funny but it is un answerable. :P

I don't know how this works, but I'm hoping my requests gets to your eyes for a Darksiders lore video. My request is asking your opinion on where is Strife and why did Strifes weapons show up in different locations.
@TrueMastersandMorons6 жыл бұрын
We would love to do a video on strife, everything from where he may have been where is he now. Unfortunately we as players have so little information to go on that we can't even start thinking of an educated guess as to where he is, because of this we are very excited to, 1. See if any new info comes with Darksiders 3. 2. Play Darksiders 4 when it comes out 3. Hopefully see some more of him in side things (books, mini games what ever.) In our personal opinions based on that little we know, Strife's game will come before all of the other Darksiders games and will end with him dying. Hence him just leaving his gun with the makers. Thank you for the request though. When we do get more information (what ever the credible source) We will be more than happy to do so!

Wow, I know see the Lord of Bones in a new light of badassery. Nice. Though I do have a question to propose. Don't worry it's not about the Crowfather. Rather it involves two other servants of the Charred Council. The Oblivion Keeper and the Custodian of the Fields. Both are in major obscurity, more so than Death himself. I always wondered what their purposes were, aside from The Keeper having control over who goes into Oblivion, being the Council's executioner, among other things, according to Death. The Custodian of the Fields is described as having greater peace than most when at rest and that when called to arms no being is swifter at bringing everlasting darkness, save for Death, who himself states this comment once again. Can we trust Death's explanations, or is there more to the good Keeper and Custodian? We know what both of them look like, and that the Keeper himself has an apprentice, a young maker, Berrarris, who serves him devoutly. The Custodian himself while seemingly caring for a simple field, can open serpent holes like Vulgrim can, and his seem much more impressive than Vulgrim's as well. I know the Keeper is a very gaunt being according to Death's description. But he's also described as tall and broad of shoulder. Could the Keeper be an old maker, given that he took on a maker apprentice and clearly knows enough about making to have taught Berrarris how to 'make' himself. Death having described Berrarris' works as crude or a tad bit awkward in shape. Just some food for thought as I'd like to know more about these mysterious being that serve the Council with the Horsemen and Watchers. Maybe you guys have some ideas.

The only thing we've got is that the Horsemaster/Custodian of the Fields (are we thinking of the right person?) may not be a servant of the Council. He sidesteps their will by helping Death out with the Serpent hole like you point out for one, but it's also entirely possible he simply keeps the fields and the horses free from anyone and everyone. As for the Keeper? It's possible, hadn't pictured him being that tall mentally but it would make sense, who knows?
@UnseelieFaelass6 жыл бұрын
Yeah the Horsemaster is the Custodian.

I held as fact but it has been a while so i rather ask if someone else remenber the same way, i replay Darksiders Warmaster and my memory of the end as the 7 Seal especific function was to summon the 4 Horseman and that is confirmed but i did not find confirmation on something i was sure whas the state of the Horseman since they are suposed to show up and end the final war, suposed by killing everything ( why else?) but was sure that the sumoned Horseman would be full powered and without any leash from the Counciel ,maybe i assumed that since they would show up and kill stuff since that is , you know, their job(purpose?) but since the final war was supposed to be on 3 races who would supposed to be on equal footing and only 1 is supposed to come out so i assumed the Horseman would show up and wype the 2 races and since the entire point of this is making a fair fight , so any of the 3 races could be the 1, so the Horseman would show up problably as a end to the final war(time over) and also kill everyone on the 2 other species (since survivors would very likely lead to conflict in the future) since thats is supposed to be the FINAL war, but them i also replay Darksiders 3 and for some reason i forgot Fury skirmish with the Counciel (my Darksiders 3 was very broken at the time and i dont do broken) and now i am not sure if they dont did not drain her power like they did with War on armageddon because of the Lord of Hollows "medalion" or if it is there some reason like War being on Earth without aprovall(7 seal) or something that made that a option. I mean, since they would be the first target if a continuation from the first game ending but also a impossible one if they could just take their powers away like that, War got messed up for 100 years after that.

I've got a question, where and when in Darksiders games is mentioned that Lord of Bones was Argul's son? I believe i know Darksiders lore pretty well, at least lore from the game, but i do not remeber this. Btw, pretty nice video :)

We just spent the last hour sifting through videos, weapon descriptions, Wiki pages, and everything in between trying to find where the person who made Argul's Darksiders' Wiki page might have gleaned this information from... and we've turned up a blank. While researching we put that on the list of things to add and look into before final release and it slipped through the cracks. Apologies for the seeming misinformation.

So how did lust circumvent this cycle?
@TrueMastersandMorons5 жыл бұрын
More than likely they only reanimated the body and did nothing with the souls. Either that or they got there soon enough to bind the soul to their will. :) After all in most fantasies Necromancy circumnavigates whatever the cycle of that particular world is in one of those two ways. :)
