It was a precautionary measure to immobilize him and get him imaging. If an athlete reports mid-line neck pain (sign of potential cervical vertebrae fracture or dislocation), athletic trainers will do this. Better to be safe, than sorry.

Big Ben has had his issues, but I thought it was pretty cool to see him so close to Taylor the entire time, standing in front of his team and staying until the cart started leaving the field. As someone who has suffered a traumatic head injury it was telling to see Ben so concerned for a player that might have sustained a similar injury to the one he did when he was starting his career.

It’s uplifting seeing the teams come out an get together as a union really to see to the well being of a fellow player. Heads up to the Steelers organization for the way they handled this particular injury. They’ve lost a franchise player under similar circumstances, they know this can be very serious.

Sounds like good news and he’s gonna be just fine. A scary moment in the nfl but much respect for all the players and coaching staff on both sides showing such compassion for a fallen player. Thoughts and prayers go out to Darrell Taylor.
