Sir Golden A lot of times this guys condition isn't even caught until something like this happens. Most ppl don't report feeling, dizzy or sob for short moments bc it is such a non-event to them. That's why there are sudden cardiac deaths among athletes and ppl wonder how can this healthy young person die and no one catch it.

TannerLewis it was reported his heart stopped completely, then they revived him.
@canadianeh19777 жыл бұрын
TannerLewis generally if you’re doing CPR on someone it’s because there is no pulse. There’s times where there may be a faint pulse. But it was reported he had a cardiac arrest. Although you don’t see it, they likely shocked him with an AED to bring him back around. You don’t see them clear the floor like in the movies. And it’s far more likely to bring them back than CPR.
@canadianeh19777 жыл бұрын
Brian P. This comment is so stupid, I honestly don’t know what to say. I guess I will start with the fact that nobody said they made a movie ABOUT CPR. I said defibrillators don’t lift people off the bed like in movies. But that said. I did see a movie about CPR made by the heart and stroke foundation. It was boring. But mandatory viewing for my job.

Brian P. Oh man. You are so hilarious. How are you not hosting a talk show or something?

When CPR is being administered, it's as bad as it gets. You are NOT breathing if CPR is needed. Every second you are not breathing is detrimental to your brain, because it's not getting oxygen if you aren't breathing, this causing brain damage the longer you go without oxygen. God bless our EMT's. They truly are angels when it counts the MOST!!

Wow... I have the same heart condition young brotha. I was diagnosed with it n early February of this yr(2020) it all started for me the pervious summer after having those same symptoms episodes while at work. I remember when I was young and was diagnosed with a irregular heart beat (heart murmur) at around 12 and was told back then that it will close up once I get older but apparently it never happened. I continued to play sports in school and in college having to rest a little longer than others. I can really can relate to the scary part of this disease being diagnosed with it at 52 just a month before my 53rd bday and I'm still coming to terms with it now with all that's going on with COVID, dealing with the shortness of breath wondering if I will have another episode. My doctor recommended a icd device implanted in my chest which I had done back in May, but my life has drastically changed now not sure if I be able to attend sporting events because I can only walk a short distance now without having to deal with breathing. They do know it's inherited so if you have any children make sure they get chked. I also live in Charlotte man

Cardiomyopathy is so scary when you're young because a lot of us don't know we have it until the worst happens. I was diagnosed with a rare form of cardiomyopathy called Left Ventricular Noncompaction Cardiomypathy at 32, and I'm still shocked. No symptoms and I feel great; yet, I'm technically in heart failure. My older sister died of dilated cardiomyopathy when she was 23 twenty years ago, but we weren't told it was genetic. Now, my older sister (age 43 and the fraternal twin of my deceased sister) has also been diagnosed with heart failure (4 months after I was), although we don't know yet what form of cardiomyopathy she has. None of us had any symptoms. Unfortunately, the meds are the only thing that might bring my sister and I out of heart failure and keep us from needing a heart transplant for as long as possible.
