on the off-chance Rory ever reads comments here: your diet/alcohol advice reminds me of a story by a slovak radio host: An apprentice came to a master complaining that he cheated at cards, they found him out and threw him out of the window on the third floor, and that his whole body hurts. The master took a look at him, nodded and said "Next time you cheat at cards, make sure you play on the ground floor." Some bystanders were appalled and began to complain that a great master would give such base advice and suggested he tell his apprentice not to gamble instead. The master rebuked them: "I do not think he'd be able to stop, therefore, I gave him advice he'd actually be able to make use of."

While Sutherland may have made a specific connection between penny post and passenger rail this time, he's only making the same point Jame Burke did in the Connections series from 1978 onwards: innovation in one area leads to innovation elsewhere, either directly or, as in this case, because normality absorbs the new and allows further development in other areas.

I'd argue what's different about an air fryer to say a yogurt maker, is that it replaces effort without removing it totally or adding more effort than the typical method. You can buy yogurt from home so you don't look that clever despite making a possibly more delicious yoghurt. But if you have an airfryer not only have you made food you believe is delicious. You've cut down the time from using an oven but not made it totally effortless.

Does having the laws pass under conservative government mean they lead the charge or does it mean that they were the last people in the way of getting certain policies passed and then stopped preventing, gay marriage or other policies, such as the EPA in the US?

asking people to subscribe at the beginning of the video really doesn't make sense, I just came across your channel and why would I subscribe and like before even watching the video? ask that at the end or somewhere in the middle after a part that is impressive then I would consider it or even might just do it.

He's right about the sheer stupidity of modern economic theory. On the other hand, Mises + Rothbard for the win.

The more I watch Rory the more I think he’s just very good at holding information, knowing these things but awful to be interviewed about sharing it; it’s like a vomit of thoughts.
