In phantom menace I never understood why Obi-wan didn’t use “super speed” to get past the plasma shields to battle along side qui-gon against maul. He and gui-gon were both shown using this ability to get away from the destroyer droids in the beginning of the movie.

It’s because that ability takes a ton of stamina. If you use it in a lightsaber duel you’ll basically become exhausted and probably just die immediately

@@charlesbird2897 you also have to consider that the fight between the 3 lasted a long time and this is before Obi-Wan gained the stamina he used to defeat fighters like Grevous and Vader. I also believe that he was so worried about Qui-gon that he wasn’t able to consider it

I really like the story between dark maul and obi-Wan and his master too I the sense between dark maul shows up and, the doors open up and obi wan and his master get ready for the battle that was about to take place in the movie.
