I have always seen a fight between Darth Vader and Voldemort going like this: Both combatants try to size one another up with their five senses and their minds like any other fighter would do, but they also use their perspective telepathic powers as well. Voldemort will not be able to feel any magic from Vader, & Vader will not detect the Force in Voldemort; however, because of how the Force works, I believe that Vader will detect that Voldemort is dangerous. (In many films, books, comics, etc., the Force informs Jedi/Sith of dangers in general, be it a present &/or potential future danger. So, I believe Vader will sense just how dangerous Voldemort is without knowing that he has non-Force magic powers) Because Darth Vader wears a full body suit, Voldemort won't have much to go on except the following: 1) Darth Vader must have respiratory issues due to the loud noise of his breathing, or the breathing sounds could be some sort of an intimidation tactic. 2) Darth Vader is a huge and tall man dressed in all black and some form of armor, so he is a warrior-type of villain. No magic powers, so I can stump him. Darth Vader, on the other hand, may equate Voldemort to Sidious. The corrosion of dark and evilness on the body. 1) Voldemort has pasty-like skin just like his master, Palpatine, and other signs of darkside corrosion. Same look of superiority and evil in his face like Palpatine. He "may" even consider that Voldemort is an alien sith or is an alien with a sith artifact. 2) Unlike Palpatine, Voldemort is younger and not aged, withered. Should treat with caution. Voldemort (arrogant and over-confident) will initiate an attack while Vader, surprised &/or amazed but not overtaken, will immediately fall into a defensive position or will evade the first wave of magic attacks. Darth Vader is no longer Anakin (as in reckless and arrogant) & will want to see just what sort of weapon is Voldemort's wand and its capabilities, & will also want to see what Voldemort is about. Vader will conclude that, although Voldemort doesn't have any Force powers, he does have powers and should be careful. But Vader will not be worried. Voldemort, on the other hand, will do things differently. Voldemort will see Darth Vader's lightsaber and will determine that he cannot let Vader close the distance to stab/cut him with it. Voldemort may even try to transform Vader's weapon or destroy it. Likewise, when Vader sees how Voldemort uses his wand, he may decide to the use the Force to snap Voldemort's wand or disarm him of it, keep it for later study or just crush it in his hand. Either way, because of Voldemort's fighting style, he will quickly resort to using telepathy or illusions to weaken Vader. However, this will not work on Vader just Vader's mind powers will not work on Voldemort. In the end, Vader will close distance and kill Voldemort eventually or, if they are disarmed of their weapons, Darth Vader will down right overpower Voldemort through the Force.

@@bobdylan1968 Darth Vader has absurd precognition. He is able to react to sniper shots, and tag Ships flying. Plus Vader has more range than Voldemort. Vader was able to force choke someone orbiting a planet. And the killing curse has been stopped by solid objects before so a lightsaber could definitely reflect it , and a small chance it wouldn't go past his armor. Even if it did Vader can bring himself back from the dead through willpower.

He might get a feeling about him, like is said in the video, but he can't predict him I wouldnt think without voldemort having a connection to the force. Which he doesnt. Definitely think vader has the upper hand. But given the right situation, voldemort COULD kill him. Maybe distract him with a large spell he can't just block like the large fire snake, and then do his fancy teleport to instantly get behind vader and cast the killing curse. Vader HAS been hit with blaster bolts several times in the past. Several times. Especially from behind. He's been taged when caught off guard a lot actually. And his saving grace in those situations is his durability and stamina. BUT with something like the killing curse, he's just dead. He doesny get a second chance, he can't fight through it. He'd just instantly die. Vader wins 75 percent of the time though I'd say.

@Shayan okay, so the father is literally the force itself, he splited his power into the son and the daughter, whom anakin overpowered. Also if the father is the force and Force sensitive races can use it in and outside tha galaxy, it is a galaxy level feat. also vader is stated to be more powerful than anakin especially that anakin in the early/mid colne wars, not even revenge anakin, and he when he gets angry enough his severed connection to the force from the severed limbs and bruns kinda stops being severed as he is able to tap into his full potential. Also he is able to become invisible use tutaminus use force speed to well become as fast as he once was, and fire is pretty much useless against his suit as he can survive in lava. Not to mention he can just force choke Voldy or pull him to slice him up.

Says who though? That's a complete guess. There's nothing in the lore of harry potter that says magic can't get through physical barriers like a light saber. Nothing implies all that needs to be done to block spells is a sword of pure enegry. They could both instantly kill one another depending on who got in the first strike. One grab by vader with the force and voldemort is done. One killing curse and vader could be done. IF vader can block his spells, clear win for him. If he can't, vader has the upper hand but could still lose. Neither one of them are completely immune to the others instant kill moves.

When Antoine Bandele did this match-up, he arrived at the same conclusion, and made a good point also found here: "In 'Harry Potter', we constantly see regular witches and wizards dodging the Killing Curse, and by extension, it would be no problem for a Force sensitive Sith Lord." This is really what it comes down to. In a wizard duel, the ultimate skill is speed: thinking and acting and speaking quickly, fast reflexes. But while I buy that wizards are better at that than normal people... against the single most powerful Force sensitive ever? No way. Vader can pretty much dodge any spell Voldemort throws at him.

StarWars characters are underestimated, Vader physically is slow and has many weaknesses but is pretty strong. Obi Wan was able to rip open the chest of a bulky protected droid made for literally blocking strong blasts and weapons with his bear hands. With the anger of Vader moving through his veins he could possibly be stronger than that. As for Vader’s force next is capable of crushing ships and pulling down spacecraft with the force. Vader really could beat characters like Hulk, BatMan, Wolverine, SpiderMan, MoonKnight, Carnage and IronMan while being able to face off against characters like comic Thanos without the IG and Dr Doom.

This is an interesting battle that I've imagined in my head several times. I believe that you did a good job in describing both combatants abilities. However... I'm not sure that a lightsaber would be able to deflect HP spells. Least of all Avada Kedavera. Avada Kedavera as shown in the movies (not so much in the books) literally blows holes in things that it hits. As I recall it literally translates into "let the thing be destroyed" in latin. Vader's saber blade is just a plasma weapon that I believe is tuned to be able to deflect blaster fire. That's literally what it was designed to do. Not block magic spells that are composed of an entirely different form of energy than what a saber was designed to deflect. I think Vader would be screwed if he attempted to block an HP spell with the saber. No. That's not an option. Vader however does have the Force to create barriers around himself, both with the Force and with objects. And while Voldemort is fast, Darth Vader also can use Force Speed. He can still move pretty fast despite is heavy armor and cybernetic limbs. My guess is that Vader would move around pretty quickly. He might surprise Voldemort with his speed. But... the movie HP Universe did not really match the book one when it came to how combat was depicted. First off in the Movies, most everyone... even the kids could cast silently. Duels in the movies are pretty much largely silent. The combatants just wave their wands around as streaks of light come out and either strike their targets or are deflected by shield charms. Now, if Vader was going up against book Voldemort, I think Vader would just Force Speed over to where Voldemort is and then just crush his throat. It's then that Voldemort is dead. Vader's armor would probably also absorb the spells, unless they were spells that were specifically made to do something to the object... like transfigure it. Also, HP spells do certain things when they hit things. There is a spell (for example) that literally just disarms you of whatever you have in your hand. Technology is of no use against magic and in fact goes wonky when exposed to magic. IF Vader would be hit with the disarming spell it would make his cybernetic hand drop the saber, because that's what the spell does. Voldemort can also summon the saber out of Vader's hand, just as easily as Vader could pull the wand out of Voldemort's hand. They are both very strong mentally... (though, I've argued that Voldemort is not very smart, due to the mistakes he makes... but he is supposedly strong with mental magic) The Force has no influence on the strong willed. Similarly Vader is also strong willed, and I doubt that Voldemort would be able to get in Vader's head.

The spell that disarms have only be seen disarming wands, I doubt it can disarm well handled weapons, in the books a similar spell failed to rip something out of a wizard's hand because it was held to tightly

Vader was actually nothing like anakin. Although vader continued to use form 5, he used forms 7, 2, and 3 instead of form 4 to keep him fighting in his heavy suit. Also form 5 does not help with defending against blasterfire, but it helps in deflecting it back against opponents. Lol.

You are correct and incorrect at the same time. You can't really name the forms that he's proficient in because he mastered all of them and modified them to be able to use with the suit. That's why he was able to take down so many Jedi masters. They literally stated that he's hard to deal with because he doesn't fight with any traditional fighting style. He pretty much Bruce Lee'd all of the combat forms into one and made his own. Haha

@@jorgefelixgallegoslopez you do realize that Ganondorf just like Sauron can slaughter entire armies single handedly, can survive his body being destroyed, in fact it took 14 characters who are all capable of defeating entire armies single handedly to so much as weaken a Phantom Ganon enough to be so much as sealed away and Phantom Ganon is at best only half as strong as the real deal and this is even without the triforce which gives the user access to an unlimited pool of power so much so that if the user has the full relic they can have any wish granted however even just 1/3 of it is enough to become practically godlike. So imagine how strong the actual Ganondorf is even without the triforce then imagine how strong he is with it. Physically Sauron is screwed. When it comes to a mental battle Ganondorf is also very strong since he's not even human combined with his tenacity and Sauron cannot break him. The final nail in Sauron's coffin however is that Ganondorf has actually killed beings beyond the physical world with his bare hands so he can actually destroy Sauron's spirit.
