While not perfect, I appreciate that these tracks aren't 4-6 separate pieces each. The guide horns on the Classy Hobby 1/16 Stuart nearly drove me insane.

Great build Nigel. I’m picking up many hints. I’ve preordered the Das Werks 1/16 Panzer III J and I’m sure most, if not all, of the lower hull build will be identical!

Have done similar tracks in 1/35 and they are OK but awkward to do and despite taking care they can still come apart. The two HobbyBoss 1/16 tanks I have done had pins but I suspect that was because they were originally RC tanks. I had thought about metal tracks as you can get them for Panzer III RC models for about £40 but will use the kit ones. Enjoying this build series and am very tempted to start on mine now!

For the casting, no I am using 1000, which in this case has thickened up with age.
