Instead of tapping to remove residue with all the inherent risks that come with it. A brass brush from a gun cleaning kit jammed in a drill works a treat for applications like this. It will take 2x as long but no risks.

@@DasCayman If you push the brush back in and then run the drill in reverse it backs the debris out of the threads.

No, this is the stock IMS, but the non-removable / non-serivcable since it is a 2008.

Often times, moving to a LWFW, especially replacing a dual-mass system, can cause clutch chatter. Any clutch chatter with this application?

Nice vid bud, enjoyed watching that. Makes me want to have one in my 997.1 C4S. So you recommended to use a sprung clutch with a LWFW? I use my car only for mountain carving

You don't have to use a spring clutch, but if you can't heel toe rev match while braking very well then I'd suggest a spring clutch. There really is no downside to the spring clutch since the weight is only 2lb more than the stock unsprung clutch. I have an unsprung clutch in my spyder with a LWFW and only use that for mountain driving and it works great. I'll be uploading a review video of this setup after the weekend!
