I love having less variety and choice, makes the game way more fun and enjoyable! I also think they should make it more grindy, I mean if you had everything maxed out before, you only need like 5000 hours more to have everything maxed again now

i can agree the exp grind is atrocious. barely anything from behemoths 10+ lvls above you, the only way to get aetherite is bounties and side quests (even then its crappy dull aetherite; gold bounties barely give any shining aetherite) and a very limited amount of every type from a hunt pass. we need the Exp scaling changed across the board at this point, or for more activities to regularly hand out decent amounts of shining or peerless aetherite. honestly the only way to get near endgame content currently is to have spent all your recompense aetherite on a single weapon to get it above 50 and then get lucky on the Karkonos quest (gotta do it on the lvl 60 surge island) only after that quest do you get the quest that unlocks heroic escalations and dauntless trials

Updated and immediately got 42/46 achievements ok cool, but where are my weapons? Oh they have removed weapon crafting, in a monster hunting game. Make it make sense... and.. I have to buy them with this new currency? Wait the new added currency you have to pay for with plat?? But you need to buy plat with real money??? The more I looked at things the more rage I felt, I didn't even make a build or leave Ramsgate I just closed the game while fuming and honestly on the verge of tears. They have entirely removed the core of the game, there is no soul in it anymore it's just an empty shell of what was my favourite game. I had just bought my first gaming computer when Dauntless got released and I fell in love with it right away. I'm honestly disgusted with the disrespect the devs have shown especially to us veterans. Dauntless Awakening? More like The Annihilation of Dauntless

hey so i came into a big issue. So I had spent all my steel marks before the update and didnt really focus on trials before the update. Never expected to need them for weapon progression. Along with crests. If I understand correctly, If you do every normal trial to get the steel marks and 100% get al lthe rewards it would take about 16 weeks to get enough steel marks to make a full build ( get all perks for two weapons)? Thats 32 weeks for two builds. Is this correct, that sounds fked forcing time gated resources in progression. Along with crests. I struggled to get 1 crest at lvl 5 solo. Maybe if I get my weapon max level I could farm a second crest but then it would take me about 2 years to get enough crests for a single build. There is no queue option for gauntlet and not many people play in this update so am I just cooked and unable to upgrade my weapons past 20?

*Top 5* behemoths I hate the most. 1. Ragetail Gnasher, third hardest. 2. Frostwülf, fourth hardest. 3. Alyra, aether charge is most difficult since its a trick or treat aid. 4. Bloodshot Shrowd, Hard for me to predict even in Reforged Time. 5. Thrax, his Aethercharged form when he leaves a path of umbral energy that insta kills upon moving into or over.

Im really glad they didn't explain that weapon talents don't have to be unlocked in a specific order like their names implies so now I'm locked out of using twin suns since i not gonna bother getting 15 essance 150 marks 5 apex glimmer 2 guild crests and 10k rams just to make the weapons decent with the crit reduce cooldown upgrade and the held crit buffs that i have one of the useless ones now could have called them whatever but no they numbered them so i thought they were sequential upgrades

Abut leaderboards - there are bugs with which you can scale your damage up like crazy or even oneshot behemoths (2 different issues, by the way). I'm not 100% sure how both of them work - first one got few times, I think I can somewhat replicate it if I wanted, but might need some time, with oneshots - it's just random thing that happened to be occasionally. No idea what I did or how to replicate. It just happens. Both issues can be faced by playing legit, anyone can do it accidentally, it doesn't require complicated setup or anything.Not a surprise someone got it in trials - by accident or not. About building - I see some more options, but generally yea- there are alot less viable options to build , that is true and I just cannot argue with that, this is really sad. Building was THE MOST fun part of the game for me.

the game reforged itself and I wouldn't have mind having to grind, I'd do it over 3 years or so but it's hard moving around without occasionally getting nauseated, so I'll make use of this video in about 6 months :) currently my favourite foes to fight down me an average of 5 times per encounter for reasons I don't know, that's fun

Your build could be better, by using the dark axe as a support weapon, you can max power stacks, and going for iceborn instead of revenant prevent random cart.

This build is alright, but it has a lot of wasted space. Nayzaga head/legs with Kharabak chest/arms runs much more smoothly. You slot in to complete assassin perks and parasitic, then decide between finishing energized if needed or adding your choice of agility or nimble.

since launch i have been grinding the game, i have my eternal winter axe at lvl 50 (without the huntpass), i have 1 build that kinda works but it is on the weak side. The game has turned into a grind, not that i mind, However builds are hard to make. Im not a trails player however the game is harder.

You get it from a main quest, Dr Priyani will ask you to complete a Gauntlet run and you can use the token you get from it to buy Revenant from her

It's a good build. But my fire war pike/twin suns repeater build with Iceborne, Cunning, Reuse, Sturdy and Vampiric beats the 10-50 escalations in under 7 minutes. Throw an Iceborne Icicle, Reckless Leap and it wounds and/or breaks a part immediately 95% of the time. I wish i could change out Vampiric in exchange for raw damage with Overpower but the game literally doesn't allow that anymore. Buildcrafting is gone and I'm sad. EDIT: You also don't get Apex Glimmer from Hunting Grounds. Only 10-50 Escas from the Keystone Behemoths.

I used all of my max level aetherite by mistake on my sword and it went from lvl 1 to 50 and and I never got to even play with it.. now when I use it I get little to no xp with it..

Same issue. I thought leveling one weapon would level every weapon of that weapon type like before. I was upset when I found out it only leveled THAT specific weapon and everything else would still be level 1. I reached out to support to see if I could recover the aetherite I wasted. I'm just trying to get the 3 trophies I need to plat the game and then I'm uninstalling. RIP Dauntless.

I found a build of invincibility... it combines strong defense and extremely broken lifesteal The funny thing is the more damage you take the stronger you become in battle... there is a damage bonus and therefore more life steal

If ya wanna know how it's possible for that one guy who got like -10 seconds on a trials run it is most likely due to alluring moons as they creatures you summon , you can build meter off of them. Either that or their just cheating

there is a crazy build i would like to do but they gutted the cell economy in the game by giving armor pieces a lot of useless cells that bloat the build and prevent you from getting the cells you want. Good luck next year if they give you a new behemoth with the correct cells for your build. Its such a shame cause i really like the buff system and the reworks to some of the cells. Also cells only being +1 really limits your build to what the armor pieces allow you.

Yeahhh I was playing since Beta. This last update sealed it for me. After months of grinding and having all maxed out weapons, they take everything away? I was a Chain blade main. Had every element available in chain blade form... NOW... only an umbral chain blade...that's it as far a chain blades go...with no option to even rebuild what I had. I feel like I was robbed by the devs.... because I was. All that time grinding only to be reset it seems. A shame. I like the game but now I feel like they just said Eff you to their legacy players.
