This material is from what I contend is one of the best comedy albums ever. Skanks for the Memories is as good as it gets. Being a great comedian is about writing great material, but also about having a particular voice or style. Dave is blessed with the ability to tell his finely tuned, well written jokes like he's just shootin' the shit with you and making it up as he goes. I'm not sure how it's possible, but I think Dave Attell is highly underrated.

I saw Dave at the funny bone one weekend in STL. My friend and I went to see his show. I'll never forget that night. Dave destroyed the whole room. He even stayed on stage for an extra 40 minutes just doing crowd work. One of my funniest memories 🤣
