I thank Dave and the guys for all of their songs, from Ants Marching and Proudest Monkey to Barthender and Stay, but one song I'm particularly grateful for is Seven, that song just rings to me specially with my current situation with a lady, and every time I listen to it, it just feels like they are playing for me. They are the greatest artist I've ever listened to and their legacy will be forever imprinted in my life.

Prime example of a real rockstar. Even though with multiplatnuim albums, countless live albums, millions of fans, and being the biggest act that still touring till this day. He is still a humble man. Thats what true rock stardom really is. Love of the music and letting nothing else effect you that comes along the way.

Dave Matthews' view on god is just absolutely spot on, what an incredible man. I love his idea that no man is really superior to another because of success, its something so many people lose sight of. It's apparent that his humility is not an act, he really is a down to earth dude. A weird, quirky, lucky, talented down to earth dude. cheers dave.

His expect the worst and hope for best. same mentality here. Think it comes from hardships, and struggles. And not taking himself as a bloated star keeps him grounded and always pushing himself to prove to people. Never get comfortable. Starving artist thing. Long successful career. He shrugs off success. And prevents self from getting caught up in it.

Anything negative about God has been brought about by man's interpretations. Man wants to use God as a tool to exercise his own selfish desires. I'm a Christian, but I've seen how men want to use God for financial gain or what have you. When in reality God is all of those beautiful things Dave has described.

@brettrhyno2556 жыл бұрын
I think it's more the length of their songs rather then them being good or not, they used to be a mainstream titan in earlier years and have a devoted enough fan base now where radio play they don't really need. They still pack stadiums with or without radio airplay.

rule 4: don't listen to the nay sayers.How many times have you heard that you can't do this or you can't do that and that has never been done before. just imagine if Dave mathews had quit when they told him it can't be done. As a matter of fact I love it when somebody tells me that no one has ever done this before, because that means when i do it i'm the first one that has done it. so pay no attention to the people who say it can't be done. I always listen to myself and say yes you can! - Arnold

Young journalist should study Q and the interviews this host conducts. He is always prepared and respectful. Baltimore had a radio station called WHFS. The DJs were a mess when it came to interviews. +TownDrunk Let it be man. We are specs floating in a infifinit universe. The Logic we know is man made, it is a tool to make sense of things we cant exsplain. Does god exist?.. It doesn't matter, you will choose what ever makes suits you best and feels most rational. right and wrong dont exist..but the perception that something is right or wrong does. do you understand what I'm saying or do you see my views as crazy or illogical because you were not taught to think that way.
@Towndrunk26er8 жыл бұрын
Zach G Whether god exists or not is relevant. The harm caused by the people that believe their god exists that is and has been out of control. That is the problem. So no, I won't "let it be". Thanks for your reply.
@Solar1018928 жыл бұрын
you prove a point that religion has caused much harm to this world and that can not be dienied but so hasnt greed and power. But that isnt even what i was arguing about. Iwas comenting on that fact that you said there is no proof of god or a higher power because it doesnt fit your logic. Where is the proof that God or a source of a higher energy doesn't exist? Your Welcome.

Keep the interview about Dave Matthews and less about mindless ramblings about a religious creation he has spun up in his head. He is a musician. Make it more about the road and the music. This interview made little sense, I have heard more "Ums" in this conversation than I have in school with a guy next to me that was making up stuff when asked question in class about a chapter he didn't know anything about. Love you Dave, bad job interviewer.
