Spot on with everything Dave said. From my own personal experience, for the longest time I was like "man my squat and bench suck" even when my deadlift was going up in a somwhat consistent manner. There were periods of time where my bench was literally stuck at like sub 100kg for months at a time, same for my squat. Looking back, I really just wasn't giving enough fucks about my actual goals and routine. I wasn't putting in the effort at the gym, I wasn't being consistent, I wasn't serious enough about looking into other factors like sleep and nutrition, and I just was too scared of actually going up in weight. Fast forward to what I'm doing now, I'm 100% committed to not skipping sessions, to not quitting when I feel tired or it feels too heavy, I'm putting in all the work I know I need to do to achieve my goals. My bench has skyrocketed, put on 20kg in 6 weeks so far, 35kg on my squat. What amazes me is that every time I know I have to increase that weight, no matter how fucking titanic the task seems, once I load up that weight onto the bar I know it's happening no matter what. And every single time I've been able to do it.

Love Dave's advise. People have to stop and think why and what.

I definitely agree here. Nothing better than having a passion and pursuing it. If you’ve made your 15-20lb newbie gains it’s definitely worth not quitting as you lose that but certainly find something else.

When I started powerlifting I went for a month, then didn't show up for 6 months (personal issues) but when I came back everyone was welcoming and after a bit it's like it never happened

If the question is "Should I give up?" then the answer is yes. Do something else until you find what you like to do, and will stick with.

Please make a video for guys that have small bone structure and get injured easily when pushing their lifts even with good form (mostly tendon and ligament strains). When you have small joints then the weight has much more leverage on your joints and your ligaments and tendons do a lot of stabilizing and other work and seem to get hurt easily and you have to take more time off. How do you overcome this or do this intelligently?

A year and a half? I've been stagnant for over five years. Though I really dont care about it anymore, as there are other things I'm far better at that I'm meant to do. But genetics definitely play a lot more than they care to admit.

Only if u have pretty much reached ur potential in 5 years time. Which is pretty hard to believe as far as strength goes. Maybe muscularity if you are drug free and have been lifting like a demon.

Always done compound exercises, rows, for instance got alot better arm development doing them rather than curls, you mentioned concentration curls, never done em,heard they are worthless for building muscle,I would appreciate your professional opinion, thank you sir, have a blessed day

Jeremy Vincent you miss the point of the whole video.. which explains why you get more arm development from rows than lat development. Don’t be ignorant in the design of exercise selection and the performance of said exercise. At the least follow mountaindog1 here on KZbin and mimic some of his sessions... at best, listen/learn and apply that information to your personal needs as it relates to your programming.
