Dave thank you and your team for doing these videos, I can't afford a coach right now nor do I really trust the cookie cutter approach that a lot of people take when it comes to strength training, so 7 months ago I started lifting I sifted threw all the BS on KZbin and found your channel the fact that you verbalize what people are doing wrong, correct it and give a short explanation as to why has helped me recognize my own flaws and gave me the tools to correct them, from the bottom of my heart thank you for throwing the info out there !

Man, would love to get the opportunity to do this and learn! Bench has been my number 1 hurdle/obstacle... everytime I keep getting decent I strain my left chest and haven't been able to figure out how to progress without being haunted by the reoccurring strain... It can happen out of the blue too, I feel great and so I keep hitting it and then wham. Of course, having an outside eye to cue you in can make a world of difference vs trying to self-correct or scratching one's own head in wonder.... might even be doing things wrong that one thinks is right and vice versa, maybe missing out on something major. I suppose I'm lucky that I've never had a big tear, anything bruise/detach, etc... But still, strains are enough to set you back and when they keep happening it's like wtf am I doing here, so much so that for a while I actually sidelined bench and focused on OHP only to finally say alright, time to focus on bench again and then wham, another strain lmao.

@boeydafunk33243 жыл бұрын
I would have never noticed that was Kroc without this comment! My favorite thing about a real gym is everyone can be whoever they have to be. The only judgement is performance and weight on the bar. The weight is no respecter of persons, all it knows is strength and hard work

This was nice, always good to learn from Coach Dave about the bench. I've learnt more from him than anyone else on feet placement for the bench. I usually just bench the "bodybuilding style" for overall development with a shoulder width or just inside shoulder width grip and narrow for triceps, but I might need to switch to this style.
