@mholly19733 жыл бұрын
@@shilohtlw I know this is a long time ago but I hate seeing unanswered questions if I have the answer , it’s called the paint brush color change , it’s a nice simple trick that I learned from Russian genius , If ya search paint brush color change ya will find some good tutorials on it , it’s super easy to learn but like a lot of magic it takes time to perfect but the principal is real easy

Good explaination. Always wanted to do this one and now I can practice. Personally I like the "paintbrush" change. To me it is more amusing and giving a bonus trick to the person. Also at the end of a trick needing an extra like card, I would do a quick one handed deck cut in case someone tries to look at the top of the deck in ur hand.

I had one guy in Vegas do the trick. I had mentioned I knew some of the tricks because it's one of my favorite tricks. So... he did it again. But he swapped the card in my hands 3 times while it was sandwiched and I have no idea how the hell he did it. It wasn't a heat activated card or anything and I swear he never touched the thing. Still baffles me after so many years.

@AnnYmuS-uh4dc10 жыл бұрын
Jarek, you don't actually need a duplicate card. It will look a little less impressive, but i did it too without a duplicate. I'll tell you. 1. You ask your spectator to shuffle the deck. 2. Spread the cards out, and ask them to pick one. 3. Let them watch it. 4. Spread the cards out again and ask them to put it back. (As they put the card back, get one card on top of it, and get a pinkie break) 5. Cut the deck till u come to the pinkie break. Then just get the whole deck on top. Now their card is on second of top. 6. Distract them, like asking "what was your card?" And while talking, watch the first card. Remember this card. 7. Tell them you picked a card in your own head already, and tell them wich 1 it was. (The card you had to remember) 8. Snap, and show them the top card. 9. Let them snap, and do a double lift, so they see their card. 10. Turn the card around, and give them the real top card. 11. Let them sandwich the real top card. 12. Pick their real card, and go like around and around the card. 13. Let them see your card, and then show theirs. Done! Success practising :p

Quick force question. Do you know how Blaine or Angel (or now Dynamo and whoever else) does the force where they ask them to think of a card and know it? Or think of an important person and know it? The only way my brain can wrap around it is the person has to be a plant but the reactions just look too real. Just wondering. Thanks for all the great magic!
@DisturbReality10 жыл бұрын
Brian Kinary A lot of that is done with a force before hand but just edited out of the TV show, so it just appears as they say "think of a card" versus them showing the full force REALLY happening
@KinnereyB10 жыл бұрын
Disturb Reality AHHHA (spittle comes out if you do that right). Makes more sense bc I do the classic and riffle all the time, and as you know lots of mental effects can be done with forces. I just knew something had to be up bc no one has true mind reading wizard powers as B. Brushwood would say! BTW. Gonna be starting a youtube channel soon with lots of performances. Did the kiss last night and the chick damn near put "her card" in my mouth! Thanks for that trick btw. Love it. Works great with the automatic phone number catcher on the iPhone. Anywho. I'll let you get back to doing what you do Evan. Thanks for the info and for getting me back out performing again.
@KinnereyB10 жыл бұрын
Disturb Reality btw, i didn't mean to offend by calling you by your name. i just relate to your story - watched the whole documentary. Life is about overcoming. I should have said thanks Jarek 1:20. Mad respect for your skills. Lotta ppl watch vids I'm sure just to "know how a trick is done," but unless they've performed, they have no clue how many countless hours we put into this craft. Then overcoming the shakes as you mention which is why I thanked you for getting me back out again bc there's a reason I stopped doing magic for a long long time. But you inspired me to rise above and get out there and do what I have loved since I was a kid. Thanks Again. Genuine in everything I've said.

When i perform this trick, a lot of people assume that there has to be a duplicate involved somehow. So what i want to practice is giving the deck to them, saying "here, check for any duplicates" while one-handed top palming the duplicate card. That way there is no way to comprehend the trick and it's absolutely mind blowing. What are your thoughts on that, is it a good idea to incorporate it as a convincer?

What I do is have to duplicate cards, sandwich one in between two others at the top, then force the one sandwhiched in-between, and then actually put it back in the deck. Then I go back into the trick. You are great Jarek 1:20. You have taught me so much. BTW: Am I the only one who feels like they would forget my head before I would forget my cards? If you took me to a funeral I swear I would be sitting there shuffling my cards.

Disturb Reality Dude I want to suggest that stop revealing such great magic because it will vanish the charm of the magic. Jarek don't take it personally, it's enough that you taught the basics of magic to the viewers across the globe. The aspiring magicians will never be a great magician if they just keep on depending on the internet video tutorials. They must work hard in their own. One of the magician codes is never reveal the secret except for those who are sincere in magic and genuine magicians. Thank You!

When there are more spectators, I prefer the Rapid Transit from the Royal Road, which doesn't require a duplicate and involves two spectators. I also do it for one spectator: I put the first (indifferent) card aside on the table, later do a top change (instead of the third double lift) and do the "magic" as in this hand sandwich trick. With the duplicate card the effect is more powerful, but each variant is really fun.
