Lyrics:
No one can blame you
For walking away
Too much rejection
No love injection
Life can't be easy
It's not always swell
Don't tell me truth hurts, little girl
Cause it hurts like hell
But down in the underground
You'll find someone true
Down in the underground;
A land serene;
A crystal moon
Ah..
It's only forever
Not long at all
Lost and lonely
That's underground
Underground
Daddy, daddy, get me out of here
Heard about a place today
I, I'm underground
Nothing ever hurts again
Heard about a place today
Daddy, get me out of here
Where nothing ever hurts again
Daddy, daddy, get me out of here
I, I'm underground
Sister, sister, please take me down
I, I'm underground
Daddy, daddy, get me out of here
No one can blame you
For walking away
Too much rejection
No love injection
Down in the underground
You'll find someone true
Down in the underground;
A land serene;
A crystal moon
Ah..
It's only..
It's only forever
It's not long at all
Lost and lonely
That's underground
Underground
Daddy, daddy, get me out of here
Heard about a place today
Nothing never hurts again
Daddy, daddy, get me out of here
I'm, I'm underground
Sister, sister, please take me down
I'm, I'm underground
Daddy, daddy, get me out
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Wanna live underground
Daddy, daddy, get me out of here
I'm, I'm underground
Sister, sister please take me down
I, I'm underground

About David Bowie:
David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

Its so sad we live in a world without David Bowie and Jim Henson. I always loved Labyrinth but watching these videos now is so much more poignant. Bowie will live on through his music, his art and his legacy. And Jim Henson was a magical soul who made childhoods amazing. They were gifts to the world, both of them.

@@abiireland2808 according to the labyrinth coronation graphic novels, there was a maid named Maria in love with the son of a rich general. She was pretending to be a duchess but they couldn’t lie forever. They had a son, implied to be Jareth, and his father wished for the Owl King to take him away. Maria was devastated and went after her son, having the same 13 hour limit, but she defeated the old king just after her time ran out. When the owl king was defeated, the baby took his powers. Jareth and his mother went into the light and he came back a little while later, as an adult, and started ruling as the goblin king. Now his mother lives in her own ballroom fantasy, similar to Sarah’s, and Jareth still visits her

There literally is no other movie like it out there. All the proof you need of that is to ask yourself how many times you've seen a small dog riding a bigger dog over farting rocks and across a fart lake? Or basically lego people that can sing songs while taking themselves apart and reassembling themselves in random ways. A very polite and adorable British worm that gives bad directions and you get the idea. I can safely say that I've never seen most of this stuff even attempted anywhere else. That is rare indeed!

Sucks we don’t have any talented ass singers, at least ones as talented as David Bowie is now. We have shitty ass singers like Cardi B being admired and idolized and looked up to by people who look up to her talentless and nasty ass in a similar way to how we look up to the talented ass David Bowie.

@@uscman I actually kind of disagree, yes most singers today are god awful but there are still some very good ones. Harry Styles, Gerard Way, Sarah Brightman, Jack Black, Heather Dale, Brendan Urie, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli. We have many amazing talented singers but they are often overlooked because they aren't flashy and new, however, that doesn't mean they aren't there.

@@gabbyluck6135 As much as I appreciate the majority of singers on your little list, I don’t think it’s fair to call other music shitty especially when everyone contributes to something. Even if you don’t listen to anything but Indie, Alt, and Rock doesn’t mean any other person or type of music is bad. There’s nothing wrong with artists like Cardi B. If took the time to open your ears and stop being so closed minded you’d hear why people like them.

He looks so serious in all his music videos and most of his movies and he's nothing but a goofball. I thought he was mean or an asshole or something when I was growing up, but I didn't know for sure. I didn't have the means to keep up with him or anything and my parents told me that celebrities dont care about you, which they're right for the most part, but they were wrong about him. I wanted to see if he was an asshole or not because he always looked like one with his rbf but he's not. I didn't try to keep up with him shortly after the movie was made, and I wish I had, but we didn't have the internet and stuff back then. And every now and then when I heard something about him, I shrugged it off because it really wasn't a big deal, then I learned that he died. I thought it wasn't a big deal, that's what I let myself believe. I was understandably shocked then but I started to look him up shortly after I heard he died, and I didn't realize how much it hurts. It hurts, but he wouldn't want you to hurt forever, he'd just say that dying is inevitable, and the sooner you accept it, the better. He left behind some great music and movies we can learn from though. And his behavior. He was such a gentleman and had manners.

I think this video is his origin story. He'd somehow ended up in the human world and lost all memory of who he really was. The creatures from his world came back to get him, hoping they could make him a more reasonable ruler, but they realized their mistake when he got his memory back and took over as he had before. Or something like that. 🙂

Bowie was and is my music hero, even after his passing. Ever since I saw the Labyrinth as a wee lad, I couldn't get enough of hearing this man's music. I still can't. He was an artist to his very core, never letting himself be held down by genre or medium. There was never a point in Bowie's career that he wasn't relevant. He was always trying something new, even in his final years. The news of his death hit me like a truck. It felt like a part of my artistic identity was gone forever. Looking back now, though, I know that he hasn't gone anywhere. Though he may have run out of time to give us anything new in these trying times, we still have what he has already given us, and that can't be taken away. See you around, Starman. You were an inspiration to all of us. I wish I could've seen you in person.

But our David Robert Jones was a genius not by chance, and like a wise chef who knows every single particularity of the ingredients, he was able to bring to the table a great dish worthy of the best starred restaurants. Helped by a superlative brigade.

My theory that happens before The Labyrinth, Jareth, who's a singer that also practices black magic finds himself in the Labyrinth and the goblins start to treat him like a King because of the black magic. (I dunno, just a headcanon I had a year ago.)

I agree except I read it as it is Jareth, in a human guise on Earth. Perhaps he forgot who he was and the underground residents of the Labyrinth have found him. Hoggle even seems to be helping him which means they were perhaps friends before the events of the film

"Underground" (from "Labyrinth" soundtrack) No one can blame you For walking away. Too much rejection. No love injection. Life can't be easy. It's not always swell. Don't tell me truth hurts, little girl, 'Cause it hurts like hell, But down in the underground You'll find someone true. Down in the underground; A land serene; A crystal moon. Ah.. It's only forever. Not long at all. Lost and lonely. That's underground. Underground. Daddy, daddy, get me out of here. Heard about a place today. I, I'm underground. Nothing ever hurts again. Heard about a place today. Daddy, get me out of here Where nothing ever hurts again. Daddy, daddy, get me out of here I, I'm underground. Sister, sister, please take me down. I, I'm underground. Daddy, daddy, get me out of here. No one can blame you For walking away. Too much rejection. No love injection. Down in the underground You'll find someone true. Down in the underground; A land serene; A crystal moon. Ah.. It's only.. It's only forever. It's not long at all. Lost and lonely. That's underground. Underground. Daddy, daddy, get me out of here. @MaskedMan66
@MaskedMan66 5 жыл бұрын
+Nga Phương I said, "hated and/or were scared of him." The Worm certainly feared him; that was why he directed Sarah away from the castle (had both of them but known!). Hoggle made it quite clear in his words and actions that he had no love for Jareth, and then there was his line, "I'm a coward, and Jareth scares me." His change of heart was not just "because of" Sarah, it was towards Sarah. Not towards Jareth. And I didn't say anything about whether Jareth was suitable to rule, though he does appear to have been lazy and indolent and too much concerned with himself.

Both his Father and I are life long Bowie Admirers so perhaps it's in the genes lol. Only Bowie could make singing with the Muppets classy.
