I fully agree with all what's said. Best managers that I ever had allways applied these rules -maybe without having read the book.

Fantastic leadership lessons for all. Just imagine how our world could be, and would be, if leaders acted on these powerful lessons.

Great presentation! I finished the book on Audible this evening. Great book too! It's read by the man himself who does a superb job of it. Now I'm looking forward to apply it. :-D

Hi all, I do respect the men who grauduated from military academies, even their skills are more invertible than a academy education's level qualification they prefer to serve in the name of their country and the great leaders are always rise from these kinds schools.Everybody on earth believes that the best law school is harvard the best business school is london sch of economics the best engineering school is mit etc etc but! I have cane across with so many bright managers who have grauduated from the best universities of their nationalities and none of them carry any kind of leadership. Thanks Mr Marquet.Greetings from Türkiye

The sub force of the 80's was extremely toxic. Every day was a chance to go to mast. After 13 years, I simply refused to re enlist and threw my Dolphins on the XO's desk on my checkout interview. I did another 13 years in a Reserve EOD unit never once having worn "The fish". In my Reserve unit, we had this style of leadership

The speaker says the enlisted crew didn’t have college degrees. Many enlisted have college degrees and a larger percentage have some college education. The enlisted crew members on the Sante Fe might not have had college degrees, but a blanket statement like that isn’t necessary to get the point across.

It’s about the military doctrine of Enlists doing what you told Officers think of a plan so enlist can execute the plan. Most of the time doing what you told is not necessary doing it right because that’s how military organizations works. You will see it more in the reserve where enlists who has higher education just turn off their brain and do whatever nonsense just fresh out of school officers told them to as long as it’s not endanger anyone.

Good, but there was a comment that enlisted do not have a college degree, but that is not true; many enlisted people have degrees. Maybe Capt. Marquet was speaking to the Santa Fe only, but it does come across the enlisted do not have a degree. Which can be misleading.
