I love this scene because it truly shows how great of a daddy David really is. He's distraught about his dad being killed by his daughter's boyfriend but hugs and comforts her when he hears that Hook vanishes. Then he doesn't even argue that much about having to go back to sleep because again it's for Emma and he truly will do anything for his little girl. I love he just does everything for Emma to show her he really does love her and regrets so much that he didn't get to raise her like he should have. I think it's why it became easy for her to call him dad because he really does act like a good daddy.

All David wanted to do was comfort his daughter😭❤I feel like there should've been more David comforting Emma scenes in this episode since he never got to do that. Love best friend Regina though. Look how far their friendship came.

She's such a daddy's girl it's so cute. Everytime he looks at her though he doesn't seem to see a young woman. He sees his baby girl that he needs to love and protect. Emma seems to love it though because she never had a dad who loved her like that and put her needs above his.

I know I did but I love how he looks to Emma before saying the line. That quick glance just says so much about how amazing daddy Charming really is. He was not doing it for Regina but one look to his little girl and he immediately agrees. I think that's what really made me like this show is since season 2 when the curse broke Snow and Charming do everything for Emma because they really do love her and want to now make up for all those years lost.

Completely agree. Taking Grumpy’s word for it?! Come on! Can’t believe that when there’s trouble in town with Gideon on the prowl etc that Emma would believe that Killian would run away despite their argument. And after the secrets she’s kept? Poor writing in my opinion.

I agree. Hook has his faults but he owns those faults. He’s also spent pretty much every episode since he joined the show chasing Emma. The others I can understand maybe doubting him slightly but if Emma truly knew and trusted Hook, she should’ve known that he would never have just left like that. She should’ve known something was up.

I feel like david is the better parent of the two of them. Snow is a good mom, but she doesn't treat emma very well. She treats her like Emma's a 15 year old that cant be trusted. Its like she cant accept that Emma's not a baby and doesn't need looking after. David on the other hand accepts the lost time. He just wants to be her friend and ally. Not to say that he's perfect.

Wow you're a very self-centered person let me tell you every person has a right to feel some sort of weakness. Everybody has a right to have a broken heart or be sick but treating somebody who is in the state as a weak person you're not a very good person. You have your good days you have your bad days Emma is having a bad day because she thinks her boyfriend ran out on her and by the way she doesn't know her boyfriend was sent away also she doesn't see what the viewers see. Guess what this show has a little bit of a real life is all about. What do you do if you break up with somebody does that make you weak eventually she'll get up move on and start living her life again. That's what real life is all about you'll have some down moments you have some up moments and it takes a while to deal with the down moments. And by the way it is okay to have some sort of weakness Nobody's Perfect. Everybody has a right to seek help and get help and by the way nobody is normal everybody is different everybody has their different ways of dealing with things. Let me tell you this Emma is human she has human emotions and dealing with everyday human thinks she is tough in her own way she's also tough how she deals with The Break-Up. And how to do deals with the end of the season.
