I’m lazy. I mean, i’ve always been. I was told I was "smart" when I was a kid which resulted in me never lifting a finger at school. I’m also terribly organized. Could barely walk into my room because of the amount of clothes on the floor. Now i’m in college, my flat was a mess, dirty dishes in the sink for days, always pushing everything to the last minute. No studying done, nothing. And for the past 5 days (it’s not much but you gotta start somewhere), i’ve been washing the dishes straight away. tidying up my shit, making myself go to the library (although to be fair, i’ve started that a couple weeks ago). Making my bead. I’m actually committed now. The last step is exercising regularly and waking up on time. I’m a work in process but i’ve been mad at myself for too long. I’ve been saying i’ll improve as if it was gonna happen on its own for too long. Enough is enough. I’m making a change and it’s happening right now. I’m sick of wasting my time. Sick of being ashamed and finding excuses. This might be the beginning of me completing the last steps. I’m thinking going for a mile every morning isn’t so far fetched. If I think about it, i’ll update this and we’ll see if i’ve gone back to my old ways. Biggest help so far has been deleting tiktok. Cheers everyone

What helps for me is this routine: 1: Wake up (no social media etc) - Sit up straight and comfy and meditate, I like to use a 5-10 min session ✅ (longer ones make you tired again in my experience) 2: get up and make my bed (make it look as in a hotel) 3: I see the toilet and instantly go shower, I end up putting it on 10 degrees at the end which (trust me WAKES u up instantly) 4: Make a good breakfast, and drink a nice thee. 5: (up to you) This routine has changed my life, productvity, makes traveling cooler too. Instead of sleeping to long in a Hotel room. You now have the power and routine to Explore. Goodluck hehe Im passionate about this too, have a great day! The hardest part is getting out of bed. I think the main reason you don't is that you don't have a good enough reason to. One great takeaway from this video is to set your intentions for the next day and contemplate that goal before you drift off to sleep. If that goal matters to you enough, you will definitely find a reason to wake up early 💯🙂

I can't comprehend the necessity of waking up at 5 a.m. In my country, it's mainly those with lower incomes who rise at this hour. I personally cherish the nights, as I typically go to bed at 4 a.m., wake up at 10:30 a.m., and feel quite content. After midnight, I relish the solitude, which allows me to focus on my projects, meditate, go for a run, and so on. I believe that everyone should tailor their lifestyle according to their preferences.

I feel like adding 2 more things to consider: 1) you can't wake up early if you don't go to bed early. You should also have a night routine that helps you relax (take a hot shower, read, no phone one hour before going to bed) 2) If you are used to waking up at 11am it is unlikely that you'll get up at 6am easily. I set the alarm a little bit earlier every week, like 15 minutes, so that I train my body slowly

This video was the only one that was realistic and most motivating. In the mornings I literally cannot wake up no matter how far I put my alarm. This will help me out. I just made a powerpoint presentation and shared with my two bestfriends! The fact about what you say to yourself on daily basis is also very true. I look myself in the mirror and throughout the day and constantly tell myself that I am pretty and I am deserving, and in real life I hear two of these things many times a day. Cheers to healthier and happier US :) !!
@chrishayes57558 ай бұрын
affirmations are BS. you can't fool your subconscious mind. "I am pretty".. are you, objectively? Maybe you're just average. That's ok but it's important to be grounded in reality. Maybe you're a 4/10.. you should think "I maybe ugly but I'm working out, eating healthy, I'm getting braces for my teeth and everything I can to maximize my looks, also I excel in other areas like ____". You might repeat "I am deserving".. but are you? In life you generally get what you deserve through cause and effect. So you don't inherently deserve anything unless you're willing to work extremely hard to make it happen.

I love the perspective of snoozing being equal to letting the universe know you don't want to get up. I have never thought about it that way, but it makes total sense. If you snooze you are in the frequency of not wanting to do stuff, which makes it harder to actually do stuff during the day. As well as falling into the trap of procrastination. Wow! I thought this video would only cover the morning routine part of self-improvement but actually sums up pretty well what most self-improvement videos will tell you: - Set a dream to find a passion and keep you up. - Literally force yourself through the routine. The beginning is always the most difficult but eventually you'll make it part of yourself. - Reaffirm yourself with the life you want. - Remind yourself constantly throughout the day to wonder if your patterns are healthy and use that as a motivator to fix things keeping you addicted. - Cultivate your mind. Set actual limits to stop mental addiction of social media. It's way easier to be addicted than you may think. - Exercise, even if just a little. It's better than nothing. You'll eventually find yourself liking exercise. - Write something. Anything’s good! Perhaps try meta-learning! Taking notes of your self-improvement journey is a great way to unload mental fuzziness. Notes about you can be a great gift for yourself. Once you're doing well enough on some things, you'll naturally improve further and even other aspects of your life!

SUPER helpful!! I gonna try it the next morning! from the book Miracle Morning snooze button: rather lie unconsciously than consciously and actively live and create the lives we say that we want. WUML wake up motivation level. 5 STEPS: - Set your intentions before bed. - Move your alarm clock far. - Brush your teeth. - Drink a full glass of water. - Get dressed your workout clothes. first hour! lazy or productive the rest of the day. Life SAVERS: - Silence, to be dedicated. - Affirmations, lead to belief. - Visualizations, imagine your lives as you wish it to be. - Exercise, give you energy. - Read, change what goes into your mind. - Scribe, write down and realization. becoming a morning person is something that can be learned, just as practically anything in life! becoming a better version of myself. it’s human nature to avoid the discomfort of doing those things, but just remember, your circle of discomfort contracts as you consistently do things that make you uncomfortable, and eventually they become easy to do.

Married folks will understand this… I wake up extra early so that I’ll have time to myself. I haven’t hit the “snooze” button in a long, long time. I’m sure this will continue if/when we have kids.

Summary: Never hit snooze - not even once. It's like saying "I don't want to live my life" WUML - Wake Up Motivation Level -> Snooze proof wake up strategy step 1: Set your intentions before you go to bed - what do you have coming up the next day? What inspires you not to hit snooze? Step 2: Set your alarm clock across the room. Step 3: Brush your teeth. Step 4: Drink a full glass of water. Step 5: Step into a (cold) shower or work out. High return activities: Make your first hour the most optimally productive How to: 1: Intentional silence, (guided) meditations. 2: Affirmations (repetition leads to belief). 3: Visualization (see things as you want them to be to get motivated). 4: Exercise (wakes you up,...). 5: Read (nurish your mind like you would your body). 6: Writing/Journaling (opens a portal to past thoughts you can look on objectively and gives the opportunity to dump your thoughts to gain clarity. To start this, as it's intimidating, begin by only spending very short amout of times with each step. Even if it's just one minute. This way you build habits. (Look for atomic habits summary on youtube of you want to learn more about how to effectively build habits)

Great job on this video! I needed to hear every word. Awesome reminders and totally inspirational!
@zhanazar83052 жыл бұрын
Just a quick friendly reminder, that everything in this video are trivial conclusion that you could make by yourself by: learning a bit about how your body/mind works; thinking by yourself sometimes. I had a problem with waking up and two days ago I decided to destroy it, and now I'm sitting here, awake and fresh, and watching a video about some guy who wrote a whole book based on my ten minutes thinking process.

An additional yet important thing I feel is missing from this video is morning sunlight, and how beneficial it is both at waking you up in the morning and improving your sleep at night, it boosts your mood, and our ganglion cells in our eyes detect light levels to tell our body clock what time it is, which our body then uses to release the appropriate hormones to wake us up.

This would be great! Except with school I have to wake up before sunrise... don't ya just love it when your school starts at 7:30?!

Almost everyone is saying same thing But to think about it, it's really stressful, I tried similar processes months ago, the resolution, sleeping early... It didn't work or I just couldn't keep up anymore I'll try to see if I can do this again, your Content is creative, educating, helpful and productive You've earned yourself one new subscriber I have a problem though... The journaling part, I really don't know what to write down, my mind just becomes blank when it comes to jotting down, and worse part is I'm aspiring lawyer, so please if u come across my comment I'll need more highlight and advice from a genius like you Thanks
@davidbangean2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Alice for your kind comment, I hope all goes well in your new attempts! - For journaling, there's a couple different ways to go about it, but try this. You can think of it almost as a conversation with yourself. You can start with writing down the experiences of the day you had, and move towards writing your thoughts on actions you made(or didn't make) and what you would've liked to have done better. After that things should flow more naturally, but if you're still struggling let me know and I can share an example! All the best

Two suggestions: *ONE* Replace silence with prayer. To whom? Jesus. He is who answers prayers and speaks to those who have a relationship with Him. *TWO* Replace affirmations with reading and believing what the scriptures teach. Let Gods word transform the way you think and as you obey God, you will succeed in Gods purpose for why He created you.

Great video.I just wrote out tomorrow mornings game plan on a notecard. “If you want to soar with the eagles in the morning you can’t hoot with the owls in the night.”
