Another really informative video - I hope your going to produce some more focusing on DaVinci Resolve, I'd specifically find a e2e tutorial very useful from what to do with the the intially filmed footage through to a published video, I regularly wonder if my workflow isn't somewhat laborious but haven't found any tutorials that really address this area. Very handy tutorial, I knew the basics from Premiere and Vegas but i've moved to davinci with the help of your videos. Premier and Vegas just felt sluggish and bloated, davinci seems more user friendly in UI design and more straightforward and lightweight while giving the same tools the "paid" competitors I used had. Minus the specific power user features in the paid edition. I'm using a 4770k, GTX 1070Ti, 16GB DDR3 and editing from a HDD, though my computer is not "bad" it is still behind the times in comparison to today's standards and I feel that may be the sluggish feeling I get from Premier or Vegas once the files start piling up the timeline. But in comparison so far davinci has handled my 1080p-4k files much better with smoother timeline scrubbing. But im still a beginner so my usage scenario and skills may skew my current opinion. Looking forward to seeing more!

Remember that even if you're using 4k source files (like I am), you can set DaVinci to use lower res "proxy" files. You'll get moments where it will slow down, but 95% of the time you can just edit in real time. Thanks for your comment - I definitely agree with the speed of DaVinci in general - I've more or less given up using Final Cut Pro!

Very good tutorial! Compare DaVinci with Lightwork, what do you think? It seems DaVinci is better in every way so far.

The dilemma!!! The thing about Lightworks is that it will work on almost any kind of computer or laptop. It might not be fast, but it will work. DaVinci on the other hand needs a half decent CPU and GPU to work. So a lot of times you'll download it and it will just refuse to start up. But as software goes, DaVinci is amazing!
