hey peej, can i ask something? I was recently editing without actual background (Audio only + Fusion composition), I place the fusion composition on top of the audio (not entirely) but when I go to fusin page I cant hear anything. Then I combine those two and change the fusion composition into fusion clip. I was able to hear the audio at fusion page, but sometime I cant hear it. And now I totally Cant hear anything at fusion page. Do you know the problem?

I found a way to have the halftone effect while still keeping the colour of the original source (Disclaimer: I tested this on gameplay footage from DBFZ so idk how well it works outside of this use case.) Steps: 1. Instead of an InvertColor and BrightnessContrast node you use a bitmap node set the channel to Luminance then .25 on the Low and .5 on High Or you could do .45 - 1 2. Set the point on the ColourCurves set to .999 instead of .9 3. Change the sEllipse width/height set to 0.0125 4. Set the size on Transform after sRender node to 0.007 and the angle to 45 (personal preference) 5. Add a blur node, with default values, before the variblur on the BG input 6. Add a Merge node after the ColorCurves node and then connect the MediaIn input to the Merge node as the Foreground input and set the apply mode to Linear Burn What all this does is that the darker parts of the image/video would have the darker circles be shown kinda like in the manga whereas the lighter part would not be as visible.

Merge the footage and the half tone footage together on a merge node then change the apply mode to color and I believe it should do it

yeah kinda, except its not quickly, I know what every node does, I'm slowly understanding what every AE effect does, so when I understand what they did in base AE then I can translate it over to DaVinci, cause alot of the AE effects are in DaVinci, just under different names

@@MightyMigi if you are talking about the new multimerge tool, I'm pretty sure it is destructive (cuts off any footage placed off screen) to the composition since it is a Resolve FX node (that is how the Transform without the XF works) so I'm not as keen on using compared to the classic merge nodes, but then again I haven't played around with the 18.5 version yet and it is only my speculation from past experiences
