Stupendous video and views on a perfect day! THAT day certainly made up for all your pain and agony the previous day. Toasty is the BEST! Not many people get to have such a beautiful day to do their summit AND get to witness such an amazing sunset AND see a little foliage there at the same time. God definitely blessed you on that day! I had to watch the video twice because it was so good. The music was very nice also. I hope that you were as fortunate to summit Katahdin on such a beautiful day. Now, you will have to bring that van to NH and finish the remaining 4,000 footers. YAH!!!!!

So sorry you were sick on Mt. Washington glad you were with good people that took care of you. You have been the only one that showed the lake’s at Lake In The Clouds. Thank you for an amazing video.🏔⛺️🥾💗

You made the right choice by heading back down. The Whites, especially Washington is nothing to mess around with. Glad you were feeling better and had a beautiful day. Sometimes things happen for a reason. You were meant to see the beauty that you would have missed the day prior.

Hey Kelly, really like the music you added on the last couple of videos. The views with the right kind of music really give them a magic feel. Love it! Thanks

I wonder what’s the tougher hike. Ben Nevis or Washington. Elevation gain is the same. Not sure which is steeper. Both are beautiful (hiked Washington - but BN is bucketlist for me - one day!)

Yep...90 minutes is about right when the poisoning is severe. The restaurants will try to tell you it takes 48-72 hours or some crap like that, but that's totally untrue. Same thing on the motorcycle trip I mentioned yesterday. Got some bad meat in a Navajo taco at a large, well known resort in Monument Valley. Made it to Page, AZ about an hour and a half later and was stuck there for three days. Try rehydrating yourself in a 90 degree desert at 4000 feet with the air conditioning on. Finally had to use those blue "H" signs to help me find the hospital and got an IV to get myself straightened out.

Asounding! This video has to be the best one you have posted! And, I have to say one of the most beautiful, moving ones I have seen on anyone's vlog!!! Being someone who tries to find the positive, your horrible food poisoning experience turned into what seems to be one of your best days on the trail! Unbelieveable, clear views, a dear friend with you, the wonderful music you added, and your contagious, happy enthusiasm for what you were experiencing!!! Now, I just need to stop crying. Looking forward to walking those exact footsteps with my son in early July 2022.

@@kellyhays23 The thanks go to you, Kelly. You may not realize how you have touched so many lives in a positive way. The way you (and Megan, too) handled such adversity, stared it down, and marched forward. The credit you give to your Higher Power. Just being "you" without worrying about how any of us would take it. Although my son (21) and I (71) were already planning our dad/son thru-hike, watching your videos just stoked me even more! We leave Asheville on Feb. 19th heading to Amicalola - getting close!

Some observations: You are blessed to be with people who love and care about you You are a blessing to those around you You are a blessing to us, the subscribers Your heart is full when you are on the trail. After all these months and miles you still find joy and wonder around each bend and over each mountain. You made a good decision to get of the mountain and take care of yourself.

Morning Kelly! You just take everything to the next level don’t ya! Glad that you didn’t hesitate and bailed out. The trail isn’t going anywhere. I hope Popeyes parents grabbed a “this car climbed mount Washington” bumper sticker. IMHO the drive up Pikes Peak is the only better summit drive. I can honestly say I have never seen a better weather day on top of Mt Washington. The universe always finds balance and it sure paid you back for your sickness in spades! Views on views on views! I could watch that few minutes of you two hiking on a loop for hours. Absolutely beyond words. I am so glad you and Toasty got to share that moment together IRL and am so so so grateful you shared it with us now. 🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. -Grateful
