At 7:20 you showed your plate and said that your grandma has those too. I bought a set of them in 1976 and still use them. My wife had a set too so it became a large set when we combined households. The corningware and corelware of that era were very good. Good Luck, Rick

At 11:28 I was thinking "Jeez, this girl is what, 1500-1600 miles in and she's still got the fire in her belly for this adventure" Then I heard you break at 17:03. And your comrades lift you back up at 18:00. The same thing happens in the military when your buddies look you in the eye and tell you to "embrace the suck!" They provide the mental booster to help you keep on puttin' one foot in front of the other. And I suspect that these people will be your "Brothers and Sisters in arms" in the same way. The bond you'll have made with them will probably last for the rest of your lives. (Maybe even all 9 of them) :)

Hey Kelly! I am loving the 4k video! Keep it up if you can! What a beautiful wind storm! Really shows the power of nature. Yea that is a moose knuckle if I’ve ever seen one. “Make sure you actually get me”😂 Toasty has been doing a great job and its nice to see you hiking. Maine is not disappointing so far. I love love love how rugged the trail is. I think everyone’s grandma has those plates! My grandmas were blue. I wish I had them. 20 miles in Maine is legit, even slack packing! Well done! I’m glad you had some awesome weather for the spectacular views up there. Such an amazing section. It really seemed like you guys were powered by laughter today, even with the low points. It was so inspiring to see❤️ I will admit the crying was hard to hear, but we all know it happens. It’s the strongest ones that let it happen, learn from it, and move forward from it. Huge thanks to the group for supporting each other. You all rock. 🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. -Grateful

Does the 4k make a difference?? I been trying to edit on my laptop but it’s so old and slow it’s been such a struggle. My new one should be coming in at the end of January. Hoping it comes in sooner🙏 20 miles was def a morale boost after all those short days in the whites!
@gratefulhikes3 жыл бұрын
@@kellyhays23 your days in the whites weren’t that short lol you kicked butt there! And yes the 4k makes a huge difference! It’s like contacts in vs contacts out 😂 as long as the footage was captured in 4k I would try to keep it 4k. I feel ya about the older laptop. If your video is 4k it shouldn’t have to process it very much. It will take time to upscale non-4k footage to 4k though. But you upload whatever you want! It is all great and I for one love seeing you all live your best lives! Be well and thanks again for sharing 🙏
@MaxZomboni3 жыл бұрын
OMG thanks for mentioning the 4K. I will have to go an watch the last couple of videos again on a large monitor.
@MaxZomboni3 жыл бұрын
@@kellyhays23 If your original footage was shot in 4K, then I think it's worth it for you to upload in 4K. Watching 4K hiking videos on a 4K monitor is just mind blowing, especially if the scenery is great like mountain top views and stuff. Of course viewers who don't have 4K monitors won't notice any difference. But uploading in 4K will also increase the value of your videos in the long term. 4K is fast becoming the new standard. So the quicker you adopt the batter. 👍
@johnqpublic31653 жыл бұрын
@@kellyhays23 I like 4K but it doesn't play well with my relatively new Samsung 4K TV. I'm sure others may be having the same problem. 4K makes the videos unwatchable - at least for me on my TV. No problem on the computer. You can change the video quality in the smart TV KZbin app but I think you probably have to do it every time - we'll see. Your vids have gotten my wife and I (mostly me) thru another year of Covid isolation.
