Today we play with CHiP, a robotic dog from WowWee, and see whats in this $150 robot! This is a new robot toy that just came on the market 2016
CHiP is a smart, affectionate, trainable robot dog
CHiP responds to you through touch, the included SmartBand, and the CHiP app
The SmartBand allows CHiP to recognize and follow you; CHiP will also play fetch with the SmartBall and bring it back to you
When low on battery, CHiP automatically returns to his SmartBed to recharge himself

Keep in mind that these things are different from what they are now! My chip has a broken back wheel. For any body who was wondering, he cost about $300 new, because Wowwee no longer makes him. And also Wowwee says, that you should not put him on a table!

You didn’t have to hold him on the charger, you can just unplug the cord that goes into the wall and plug it in where the on and off switch is located.

How did you get your CHiP to start singing? I have two and have never seen either of them do this. They just growl when I use the guard mode.

Einfari Marie you can download the app and sometimes, he will talk to you (through the app) and say, "watch me sing" and there will be a play button. Press play and he will sing

Have you managed to get the "Guard Dog" or "Free Roam" features working at all? To me it seems like these buttons may just be placeholders for features that WowWee hopes to add in the future as they both just cause the same dance and nothing more as far as I can tell. I hope that WowWee will at least add some sort of free roam function in the future since a big drawback on Chip right now is his lack of autonomy.

+starveltuber you have to lift up the charger and make direct contact to his bottom. This was very annoying but charge it enough for like a few mins then turn him on and he will drive to his charger

There is a charge port(circular) where you plug your dog into the outlet. in the future, your dog will tell you it has low battery by whining and having its eyes light up purple. Turn on the smart bed and it will go right to it.
