Love hearing the children's voices sing about Jesus. Warms my soul. I make regular bread and buns, especially to go with home made soups. And cinnamon rolls, too. The kneading is an issue for me as I like to feel the dough, but my arms and hands seem to protest a bit too quickly for my liking to finish it. We are having some beautiful, blessed rain today, and, in spite of getting rain off and on for more than a week, even today's rain is soaking into the earth. We ALL make mistakes, so don't beat yourself up about your small ones. Hope the rest of your week is good.

I love watching your kitchen shenanigans! As a school cook, your kitchen and kitchen equipment is very similar. There is never a boring day in the kitchen and I always joke our school kitchen could have a reality show! As a mother, I think it would be very interesting in seeing your moms perspective on the challenges and benefits of raising children in your community. Thanks for all the time you put into your videos! I look forward to them!

What a workout! I would rather make a lot , than one or two loaves. I mean, you still have to clean up and do it all, except more of a workout! Lol I lost my husband about 9 years ago almost. It’s hard cooking for one. No children at home, etc. I still find myself making a lot of soup for a huge family, etc. lol love your videos and community.

@@gisellewaldner9406 Better to burn a few crumbs than a batch of bread! & not all ovens start at a pre-set number, so that would be EZ to forget, IMHO. My old oven didn't, but the newer one does, and it took me a bit to remember also. I sterilize eggshells at 200degrees F., and the new oven is pre-set to 350 deg. F, and I, too, burnt a batch o' eggshells by mistake. Only God is perfect, and we get reminders of that all the time. LOL God has humor, if we can be humble enough to just LOL at our dopey humanity every once in a while, while heeding the need for att'n to detail. 'Cause burnt eggshells SMELL TERRIBLE! LOL~ "never again" :) TC~

This is só satisfying to watch! Everytime I see you and your mom working together it makes me smile. Looks like you've got a lovely mother-daughter relationship. It got me thinking that if you ever get married to someone outside your colony, wouldn't it be so hard to leave her and your family?
@hopehope9301
@hopehope9301 3 жыл бұрын
I think it is hard for anyone who has close mother- daughter relationship. The difference is that in family style of life we can visit each other , help each other, spend time together almost without any problems. If she leaves the colony , she might experience the difficulty to visit her family when she wants and when her mother wants. It depends on the leaders of the colony.
@laevan2053
@laevan2053 3 жыл бұрын
@@hopehope9301 TY for the explanation. Makes perfect sense. By "family style", do you mean it's seen as preferable to marry within the colony, so the families all live there together? Just for clarity. TY&TC~
@hopehope9301
@hopehope9301 3 жыл бұрын
@@laevan2053 family style, I mean, that family member live near each other , supporting each other. Men could work or not to work together but help when it is needed ( build the house for example, or butcher the cows) , women can have the family field where there grow something together or take care about animals together, but at the same time have their own. They may cook sometimes together but most of the time families have their own stuff. It can be only one or two generations and then later they establish their own extended families. I did not mean to be married inside the family to keep everyone together.. The colony, in my view, is more than a family , it is ideology. That's why they excommunicate those who left them, regardless that they may live beside them, want to visit and help sometimes ( family connection) but do not support colony ideology. In most of cases ppl leave the colony because of ideology pressing and not because they do not love thier family and angry at them. It is colony style vs family style in my view . We have freedom what to believe in but we still can be family and love and help each other. In the colonies , the colony's interests stands above personal and family interests.

I think to make breadcrumbs you need to put temperature down around 250 and 275. And look after your toasts. 350 is too high. It is easy to burn bread if do not watch it. Croutons and bread crumbs are more a dry bread then toasted so temperature should be low. And you will win !

as I watch this I am remembering that you said you worked at Tim Hortons for a bit and I can only imagine what that was like 🤣🤣🤣: You: Don’t these people clean?! Them: What in the world is this girl doing? Nobody even sees under there! I’m sure they hated to see you go! Thank you for the inspiration as always 😊
