Dude, I don't play a lot of horror games cause I get scared easily but I really really wanted to play this and on my second day MY FUEL WAS GONE QUITE A LONG DISTANCE FROM MY CAMP IN THE CASCADES IN THE RAIN NEXT TO A HORDE,I survived cause they hadn't seen me but the adrenaline rush as I dragged my bike all the way to the first safe house in that environment... Salvatore Scuto Open world games are like chewing gum for me. They start out tasting great but once it loses its flavor I feel like I keep chewing and chewing and chewing just to finish the damn game. Is this one good? The way the developers made sure there was dialogue throughout the entire game is a very underrated aspect. Constantly hearing deek talk to himself and others was WAY to satisfying. Everytime I heard him say “ah needed this” as i filled my gas tank, it just hit the spot. I was also astonished with how all of the side quests felt like main missions, why hasn’t any game been able to copy that? God I love this game, I really hope there is a sequel!!

Witcher 3, every single quest is fully fleshed out with unique characters and decisions in every one. Every single person. Nobody is just named "villager" saying "go here kill that", there's always a twist and a reward of some kind.

Probably not, the girl at Gamespot said the story wasn't relatable and gave it a 5/10. You know what she did find relatable was Wolfenstein 2 it's one of her favorite games ** spoilers for beginning of the game** So the game where BJ's dad throws his dog against the wall for dating a black girl is more relatable than Deacon's wedding vows in Days Gone...nothing over the top there, I think we've all experienced similar situations to Kallie. My opinion is uncharted series is scripted fucking shit that doesnt make any sense. And Days Gone was my worst purchase of the year so far since I uninstalled it in 4 hours because the game was boring and slow as fuck with characters so lame I almost fell asleep. Only thing that kept me from sleeping was his constant gay retarded mumbling to himself which I found to be so fucking annoying that I just turn the game off and didnt care. I loved the melee combat tho while gun play was bellow meh.

This is a fair review. I played this game two years later and I love it. Here is my review: I didn’t get any bugs because I played it on pc and picked it up after all the patches had no issues aiming bc of mouse and keyboard but it did feel a bit challenging to aim because a lot of the guns have realistic recoil and bullet spread which I didn’t mind. Aside from the negatives, man I gotta say the story mode in this game is really good and I enjoyed every second of it and its got good pacing, themes, variety of antagonists and their motives, and at times it was emotional. From start to finish, it was really good and I’m so happy I bought this game. The main character Deacon St. John is awesome. I love deacon’s personality where he doesn’t take shit from anyone and speaks to people the way he wants to esp towards camp leaders and isn’t afraid to fuck shit up. Also, I love how angry he gets before you go fight an ambush camp and his hatred towards rippers and marauders makes you want to go in guns blazing and fuck everyone up. His best character trait is the fact that he would go to hell and back to the two most important people in his life, Boozer and Sarah. Through the objectives, you can see the motives that at first, you keep boozer alive and then you help him find a reason to live and Deek always checks up on Boozer and he is a ride of die from day one. The same goes for his wife, and he never gave up on her even with the possibility of her dying. Also his character development from just a selfish survivor to helping every camp and doing jobs for them and eventually standing up and taking care of people showed great growth in his character. The bike mechanics were realistic and made you feel like you’re an actual biker. The crafting resources were a bit hard to find at times and you had to pick your shots and equipment carefully because at the beginning you can’t get everything and had to sparingly use what you got. Gameplay is the best part. The running and crafting on the go helps a lot. Gunplay is realistic and the melee animations are brutal too. You can play stealth or go guns blazing and both are fine. One of my favorite things in the game was fighting hordes. In the beginning, I’d avoid them because getting caught in a horde was a huge nightmare and you’d instantly die because of lack of stamina, ammo, and equipment. But after I got strapped, I took them down. But the level of anxiety I got running and fighting hordes was immaculate, scary, but a lot of fun. Graphics are breathtaking, especially on pc where you get the highest graphics quality and about 120 fps, it was amazing and felt buttery smooth and never got fps drops. The environment, textures, smoke and level of details were well drawn and made. Overall this is a 10/10 and now I want to replay that game for the first time. Truly an amazing game and I loved every minute of it.

@@fernando47180 the idea of zombies is to be slow/moderate speed dead humans that tend to turn people into zombies after biting an individual. They have no higher brain function and are incapable of dying unless shot in the brain. Freakers actually demonstrate very pack orientsted behavior similar to films such as I am Legend and 28 Days Later which also don't use zombies. You don't see zombies back away and behave curiously, they don't know how to flank or Dodge weapons. Just from their higher brain function alone they are not zombies because their behavior is so similar to that of wolves. Also they are not undead, they actually need to eat and do so by food gathering berries and random wild animals to survive along with them needing to drink and the fact that they can die without headshots and they can't survive with missing limbs. Often people's misconception comes from the idea that zombies are the only thing that is human derived monsters. They are obviously the most popular and common does not mean they all are. Lots of people literally think 28 Days later is a zombie film despite them. Honestly unless stated otherwise it's fine to assume they are zombies but it because wuickly obvious for anyone who plays that they don't exhibit any actual characteristics zombies have.

​@@Geto.76 Giving this a 6 is a crime. IGN had an axe to grind and it's blatantly obvious. I've just finished it and started a new game plus right away. I don't do that with mediocre games. Personally I'd rate it a 9 reflecting how much fun I had with it, but 8 would probably be a more accurate score, as it is not perfect and does have some minor irritating flaws. A huge shame a follow-up didn't get green lit, as there was a lot more story to tell. The likes of IGN with their bullshit political biased reviewers have a lot to answer for.

Honestly the worse bug I’ve encountered has been the fps drop while driving. I have yet to experience anything other than that since release date. (Got the collectors edition and I love it.) but if it wasn’t for the FPS drop it would be a solid 9/10 for me

The horde system and the sawmill map was the best part in all of this and using your environment and preparation made the whole experience so much better. Not to mention the amount of anxiety you get fighting hordes while you run outta ammo and getting low on stamina as well as zombies nearly cornering you.

Great game. Don't put the game on rest when you stop playing. If you close it down, that appears to solve the frame rate problems. I play on a regular PS4 and have had few issues.

I play on a regular PS4 and never had any frame rate issues or serious bug problems. It apparently helps if you shut down after you finish a session rather than put the game to sleep. Great game.

I absolutely love this game. The main story kept me hooked. I only had two major bugs in the 60+ hours I've sunk into it and im still playing. I may finally 100% a ps4 game at this rate!

This game is a great example of a PC port done right! Runs at Ultra on my 1650Ti laptop. Plenty of options. No bugs and glitches. Rarely encountered any stuttering.

I think the shooting system was just fine. Better than Red Dead Redemption at least. If you invest enough in the Gunplay tree you get overpowered with guns.

Biggest complaint - the game is way too easy. Even on HARD. The Freakers are blind and deaf pretty much so the world doesn’t not feel that dangerous. I didn’t find the fuel or repairing your bike a problem at all. So much so I didn’t upgrade anything, just to avoid making the game easier. I thought the default fuel and repair hits a nice balance. I found your bike is generally pretty tough to damage down to zero anyway, unless you drive it off a cliff ! Melee and gunplay is decent and weighty. Gunplay is less clunky than RDR2 that’s for sure! Some of the main missions are a bit meh as well.. so there’s a lot of filler. But the graphics and the open world as well as the atmosphere are incredible. Overall the game deserves at least a 7-8/10.

I played on hard on my first play through and was genuinely scared of the freaks for about 4 hours but then the game got too easy. I heard they are making a new difficulty but i think its still gonna be easy.

I love the gun play. I focused on ranged and focus over the other skills/NERO options, so I just focus and one shot headshot with assault rifles. I've never run out of ammo. As you said, you craft it to how you play, so if you've got a great melee build, your gunplay will probably suffer. The bike repair stuff is fine too. It's a nuisance, but it has to be, it adds to the immersion. This is probably the best zombie game ever, from a gameplay and world perspective. The Walking Dead and The Last of Us certainly have peak stories but the gameplay is so basic for both.

I truly love Delrith and his reviews. But come on this is the third exclusive from Ps4 that we did not get full review if I remember correctly. First, Uncharted 4 got a rapid fire review, then Horizon Zero Down did not get a review at all and now this. These are big budget AAA exclusive games, and I believe they deserve full reviews.

you guys should consider doing rapid fire reviews of older games, someone else mentioned it earlier, but it is something i think would benefit the channel as a whole. basically a 1 stop shop for a wide range of reviews. theyre extremely informative, and delrith as a reviewer gives great details and insight into the game. plus since its the angry joe show, you know the review wont be geared to pleasing some big company like EA. very credible reviews, keep up the great work you guys!

1 year later The game received updates and is now (in my opinion) a 9/10 I experienced frame drops a few times towards the late game but it was only for a few seconds Btw I play it on a standard ps4 so I would think you shouldn't have problems with the pro And if the storyline hasn't hooked you I advise you to hold on just another hour or so. The story gets better promise you Have fun killing freaks

Not gonna lie that first boss fight with the buff dreamer was incredible and if you didn’t take the opportunity to go around the plane and such to set up traps and explosives only to have him trail behind you and chip away at him is a shame because it was riveting and satisfying having him go from one trap to the other.

I kinda liked the bike simulation where you fill it with gas or repair it with scrap because it adds a bit of detail to it and it makes surviving in the apocalypse more realistic just like when you have to repair your melee weapons and scavenge for materials to craft other stuff just like in last of us. It’s like bend studio was able to do something different to a zombie game

I got a lot of Mad Max (the game) vibes from watching this. Like the icon for +1 Scrap or how the numbers look on screen when filling the gas tank gave me deja vu. But how is this or Bloodborne the pinnacle of console graphics? I mean they're definitely great in that department...but nowhere near the top of the list right now. Either way, this has been of interest to me since it was originally revealed...but it's one of those "pick up in a future sale" kind of games.
