The reason roleplays are made is that not every video can just be a list of sounds, because there is not enough sounds to make so many videos about only that and asmr-videos would just start repeating themselves. Also, some people think that for example going to spa is relaxing, which is one of the reasons asmr exists, to relax, so asmrtists highlight those relaxing things about them and add some tapping in almost everything.
