As much as I like the DC multiverse as it is one of the most creative and cool-looking ones I've ever seen, I have to wonder. Why did DC make their universe so complicated? Retconning stories, changing events, undoing entire canons. It's just too complicated. They really should decide what's part of the main timeline, and what is not.

I don't understand the continuity explained by anyone on KZbin. Trying to find out which Earths that runs of comics are is impossible. I can't even find out which Earth Action Comics is. Either videos like this don't tell you, or people say it's either Earth 0, 1, or 2, and no one gives a method of how they came to their conclusion.

The marvel universe is pretty straight forward in terms of its continuity (almost everything since the 60s is canon to 616), but we are currently working on a video that goes over every major event within marvel lore since the birth of its universe

​@@HIVEMIND_COMICS It's been reinstated since Infinite Crisis, it's just that because of the Flashpoint, the Bat-family doesn't remember Kathy Webb Kane aka Katrina "Luka" Netz or Bette Kane ever being Batwoman and Batgirl...and Kathy was revealed during Batman Inc. to have been using this to her advantage...as Batman Inc.'s Nu52 stories were still set Pre-FP...so they only remember Bette being Flamebird, but Morrison was intending to show that Bette was Batgirl and in their flashbacks in the first volume...the idea that Bette was a stalker with a crush who later turned into the thrill-seeking Flamebird before truly becoming an actual Brave and the Bold-like version of Aquaman compared to her earlier slightly brash, but capable pre-Crisis self.

You mentioned Barbara Gordon as the first Batgirl, when the first Batgirl was Bette Kane. Also, it would have been more interesting if this video went outside the core Justice League members. For example, I wanted to see more info on Blue Beetle, Aztek, and the Phantom Stranger. Lastly, regarding core members, I was disappointed with this video not exploring the story of Blue & Red Superman after showing pictures of him.

Everyone remembers their history since 1935's first adventure of Dr. Occult (also called Dr. Mystic), but some histories have been altered to explain some things being different, meanwhile the classic versions that everyone else grew up with still exist elsewhere in the Multiverse with new designations to preserve Superman's history as revealed in DDC. Earth- 2's original version is now likely Earth-1938 Earth-1's original version is now Earth-1956 with the League renamed to Super Friends because really between Earth-1 Pre-Crisis and Earth-50 animated...there's virtually no differences...and at the time both were called Earth-1 or 1A. Earth-0's Pre-Flashpoint form aka the Post-Crisis universe/New Earth is now Earth-1985. Designations given for obvious reasons.

I'm hoping this absolute power reboots everything back to one universe and that's it and uses the else worlds thing they've started for those alternate universe stories where they're like what if like marvel does you can only make sense I love the DC universe it's my favorite one but this multiverse and Omniverse even worse has destroyed everything it makes the stories not worth anything if there's 50,000 Batmans then Batman means nothing none of his stories count if there's only one Batman like there was in the post crisis Batman and of course you had your elseworld stories but that wasn't part of anything that was like a what if they need to bring this back which they just did and bring back the post crisis DC universe maybe not the exact same continuity but like that one universe one Batman one Superman one Wonder woman that's it

If we were to go back to particular point, then mantle sharing works. We should have been at Titans Takeover in 2010...and had that last throughout the revamp because the reversion to classic holders diminishes the very idea of there being a next gen taking over and Legacy is what DC does best.

@user-lp8im7ow8s it pretty much did that it got rid of the multiverse which is really what I was wanting I didn't really need the total reboot I just absolutely despise the multiverse you can't do any story in the characters mean nothing if there's 58,000 versions of each character none of them mean anything cuz why is Superman of our earth that we watch any more value than Superman on Earth whatever number you got to have Superman the last son of Krypton I'm okay with this absolute universe thing because I think this is playing out to somehow them merging together but the multiverse I hope is gone for good they shut it down and said it can never be accessed again and I hope that means they'll just never show it again and then they forget that it exists kind of like the post crisis that was the best DC stories ever post crisis when there was one universe one Superman one Batman etc
